Former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Zoey Stark moved to Raw in the 2023 WWE Draft. She subsequently aligned with Trish Stratus at WWE Night of Champions, and she has been prominently featured on WWE TV ever since. Stark seemingly parted ways with Stratus at WWE Payback, as she attacked the legend after Trish slapped her.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Stark shared her thoughts on working with Stratus. She described how the WWE Hall of Famer has helped her grow her game.
“She’s helped me grow my game. Trish is so smart. Her knowledge of small details and how to project those, that separates from everyone else. When I see Trish wrestle, it all just makes so much sense,” Stark said.
After noting that Stratus is a genuinely nice person who wants to help, Stark recalled how she found she would be working with the legend. Stark noted that she was at Whole Foods with her husband when she got the call, and she was elated.
“I still remember finding out I’d be working with her. I’d just worked out with my husband, and we were going to Whole Foods–and that’s when I got the call. My heart stopped when I found out I’d work with Trish. It’s the opportunity I had been working for. My husband was next to me, and he threw his hands in the air. We were extremely happy,” Stark said.
Stark also made it clear that she feels blessed, grateful, and excited to be where she is now.
