Zoey Stark Says WWE Helped Her Adjust To Life On The Road During Her First Two Months On Main Roster

Zoey Stark talks to Fightful about her transition to the main roster.

Zoey Stark came up to WWE’s main roster from NXT in the 2023 WWE Draft. She quickly found herself in an important storyline with Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus acting as Stratus’ protege.

When it comes to getting adjusted to the main roster and main roster travel, Stark tells Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp that her life changed greatly when she joined the main roster, but WWE was very accommodating to her, helping her adjust to life on the road.

“[Life has changed] dramatically. I’m traveling every week now, which you know that’s going to happen, but you’re never really prepared for it. You really do live out of a suitcase. People tell you that, but I think as soon as I get home, my suitcase stays the same. I do my laundry and put everything back in. It doesn’t move,” she said. “I haven’t run into too many [travel woes] yet. WWE has been very helpful. The first 60 days, they gave me a rental car, they gave me a hotel, they let me get adjusted to the road first. So, that’s been great.”

Speaking about the actual moment when she learned that she would be a member of the Monday Night Raw roster, Stark told Sean Ross Sapp that she did her best to hold back tears until she got a hug from Apollo Crews.

“I mean, I broke down. There’s a video out there where I try to hold back my tears, but it’s so hard. I did a great job when they called my name, and then Apollo [Crews] hugged me. Then, I was like, ‘Alright, here come the waterworks.’ I hate it, but sometimes you just can’t hold it back. Especially when it’s a passion, you know?”

Stark has since been working with Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus as part of their rivalry. Stark says that she has enjoyed every moment of working with Trish as her protege on screen.
