Zeda Says China Needs To See More Wrestling
Zeda says China needs more exposure to professional wrestling.
The former mixed-martial-artist Zeda wrestled for WWE in NXT for the last year before being released. While at NXT, she participated in the Mae Young Classic and she faced two other former fighters on the WWE Network when she wrestled Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville. The Chinese American athlete and former model spoke with The Roman Show about the growing popularity of professional wrestling in China. Zeda said Chinese fans need to be educated about the breadth of professional wrestling styles.
“I would say they don’t know what they like to see yet. They are still very new, very green. They are taking their baby steps. So far what they’ve seen I would say is Japanese style because they are closest to Japan and they are working with people over there. I think more people need to go over there and show different styles,” said Zeda.
In the rest of the interview, Zeda spoke about her former careers as a mixed-martial-arts fighter and model.
