Zack Sabre Jr. Lays Out Jon Moxley After Moxley Beats Minoru Suzuki At NJPW New Beginning In Osaka
Jon Moxley defeated Minoru Suzuki in a wild contest to retain the IWGP United States Championship at NJPW New Beginning in Osaka. Afterward, Zack Sabre Jr. would promptly make his presence felt.
Jon Moxley battled Minoru Suzuki in a match that saw him lose his eye patch and suffer tremendous damage to his arm thanks to a vicious steel chair attack.
For a majority of the time in Osaka, it appeared Suzuki was just too demented for John Moxley to be able to keep him down. Even a powerbomb through a table would see Minoru Suzuki laugh off any pain while competing with the remnants of the table in his back.

Not one to be denied, Jon Moxley would utilize an unprotected chair shot to the head of Suzuki to soften the warrior up for the Death Rider DDT in order to gain the victory. However, he wouldn’t have long to bask in his victory.

The British Heavyweight Champion, Zack Sabre Jr., would appear from behind and lay out the IWGP United States Champion with Moxley’s own belt, before choking him out.

While it appears that Jon Moxley has his next challenger in New Japan all but confirmed, next for him is a match against Santana on the 2/12 AEW Dynamite as he continues on his path toward his match against Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship at AEW Revolution on February 29.
