The Young Bucks To Honor The Rockers At ROH Final Battle

Tonight at ROH Final Battle, the Young Bucks plan to pay tribute to a tag team who helped pave the way for them.

Matt Jackson took to social media to reveal that he and his brother would honor The Rockers at Final Battle. The Bucks are scheduled to compete for the ROH Tag Team Titles in a Ladder War against Kazarian & Scorpio Sky and the Briscoe Brothers. It could be the last time we see the Bucks in a major ROH bout for the foreseeable future.

Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty teamed as the Rockers from 1985 to 1992.

The Bucks have teased this being their final weekend in ROH as their contracts are set to expire at the end of the year. It’s unknown what their next move will be, but they recently stated that they have offers on the table from every major organization. We also know that they filed trademarks as All Elite Wrestling, LLC, lending credence to the rumors that they could be starting a wrestling promotion of their own.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Jackson hyped the Ladder War bout by saying, “Is it our final big match at ROH? We treat every match like it’s our final one, so just imagine what we’d be willing to do if it actually were our last? Nobody does these types of matches like us. We’ll make it a thrill-ride spectacle. A nonstop party. Lots of these types of matches go with the ‘less is more’ approach. Nope. More is more. And they want a firework show.”

ROH Final Battle takes place tonight, Dec. 14. Fightful will have live coverage of the event beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
