Young Bucks Believe What They’ve Done Outside The Ring Is Bigger Than What They Accomplished Inside

The Young Bucks receive plenty of praise for their ability inside the ring, but it’s what they’ve done outside the ring that is just as important.

Along with being heralded as one of the top tag teams in the world today, Matt & Nick Jackson paved the way for many outside the ring with the way they marketed themselves with merchandise and through Being The Elite.

Speaking to Jimmy Varsallone of the Miami Herald, the brothers discussed their impact on the business.

“We’re perfectionists. As long as we have our legs and our knees, we’re gonna do this until we are the best and that’s the ultimate goal, to become the best in-ring tag team of all-time,” said Nick. “We set some high goals but that’s what would make us most happy, if our legacy is that. Then again, we’re having so much fun doing what we’re doing as [Executive Vice Presidents] that I think our legacy could be that.”

Matt added, “No matter what we’ve done in the ring throughout all these years, we may be remembered more for being pioneers in the wrestling industry and probably increased the wrestling economy and getting a lot of the boys paid a lot of money. If that’s true and we’ve helped out in helping out with marketing and merchandising and all of that, maybe that’s even bigger than what we could have done in the ring. Maybe what we’ve done outside the ring will end up being more important, who knows. If it’s helped the lives of the boys and put more money in their pocket and helped their families and helped the business then that’s probably the thing I’m most proud of.”

Elsewhere during the interview, the Young Bucks discussed how Being The Elite humanized them. You can read their comments by clicking here.
