Yoshinobu Kanemaru Suffers Knee Injury, Taken Out Of 11/5 NJPW Road To Power Struggle

Yoshinobu Kanemaru is out with an injury.

NJPW announced that Kanemaru is dealing with a right knee and was taken out of the November 5 Road To Power Struggle show. Kanemaru is currently one-half of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, along with El Desperado.

As such, a pair of matches have been altered for the November 5 show.

Below is the announcement from NJPW, slightly edited for clarity:

Yoshinobu Kanemaru has sustained an injury to his right knee, and will be unable to compete on November 5’s event in Kochi. Changes have been made to the card accordingly.

We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Kanemaru wrestle. We appreciate your understanding and wish Kanemaru the best in his recovery.

Kanemaru and Desperado recently defended their tag titles, defeated BUSHI and Hiromu Takahashi earlier this month on a prior Road To Power Struggle show.
