Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman Says Matt Riddle vs. Roderick Strong at NXT TAKEOVER 25 Was One of the Best Matches of The Night
I’d say toss up. Like for me that and the main event on which one was match of the night. And I am just giving a slight edge to the main event. Just because of the magnitude of the match, and the build up and just because it was a masterpiece of a Pro Wrestling match. But Matt and Roddy they WOW, FUCK, like I said, if someone tells me, ‘I think that was the best match of the night’, I am not gonna argue with them. Just the way they started, the way the match built, all the ground work they did, all the mat wrestling, it was just a thing of beauty. And the different ways of using the ropes and the different ways of hitting the ropes and just making things look different than everyone else, it was just so good. So good, not to mention I am a huge fan of both of those guys.
Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman On The Talent and Skill Set of the NXT Roster
Wow… God I look at these matches and I am like so I go back down there to Florida next week to teach them things and I look at that and I am like ‘holy fuck what am I supposed to teach them when that’s the kinda shit their coming up with on their own?’ but they’re not coming up with that all on their own, I don’t think, well yeah I don’t know. I am just blown away by all of it and I consider myself one of the people in my generation, in my time that was like that. That was innovating and coming up with new ways of doing things and new ways of going in and out of things, and I look at that and I am like ‘wow, holy shit.’ Boy, they take it to the next level and then some.
Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman Says Shayna Baszler Is His Current Favorite Female Wrestler
My favorite of all the women that are currently wrestling right now, period. Not just WWE, NXT but like everywhere. I am not saying she’s the best technically, she’s just my favorite. And when she says something, I believe what she’s saying because she believes it when she’s saying it, and she just knows her character, she knows it because it’s her.
