WWE WrestleMania 38 – SmackDown Tag Titles – The Usos vs. Rick Boogs And Shinsuke Nakamura Result
The opening match of WrestleMania 38 was the SmackDown Tag Team Title bout.
Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura earned the opportunity to challenge The Usos when Boogs defeated Jey Uso in singles action a few weeks ago on SmackDown. Boogs feigned a knee injury that night, tricking Uso into thinking it would be an easy match and then revealing that he was in fact healthy.
The challengers controlled the early portion of the match, but The Usos took over after Boogs knee buckled under him while trying to lift both Usos. Nakamura fought valiantly but was hit with an Uso Splash and the 1D. With that, Jimmy and Jey retained the belts and extend their record-breaking reign atop the SmackDown Tag Division.
After the bell, Rick Boogs was helped to the back by medical personnel. Fightful will update you on his status as news becomes available.
