WWE Cruiserweight Title

Buddy Murphy (C) vs. Tony Nese

The challenger avoided Murphy’s opening knee, flurrying right away and forcing the champion to bail. Buddy quickly fired back though, dropping Nese on the top rope and going to work with some stomps. He then grabbed a hold, grounding things until a suplex turned the tide. Some strikes followed, with Nese rallying and landing a springboard moonsault to floor his foe. He continued to build momentum too, landing his patented uppercut and thinking superplex until Murphy countered, dropping Nese face first for 2.

Nese responded, attempting a quick roll-up but eating a knee for his troubles. A poison-rana reset things once again though, allowing Nese to recuperate before unleashing a salvo of strikes. An exchange commenced from there, trading blows until Murphy’s clothesline halted his rival. He fired back regardless, landing an emphatic slam for 2. Buddy avoided Running Knese but Tony was undeterred, landing a spectacular dive and hitting 450 Splash for another near-fall.

Murphy responded, landing a sharp knee and hitting Murphy’s Law only for Nese to get his foot on the rope. The champion then planned a Running Knese of his own, running into a superkick instead as Nese closed the show, hitting a German Suplex in the corner and winning via Running Knese.

Winner and NEW Champion: Tony Nese

Following that, Sal and Q of Impractical Jokers fame joined Pat McAfee and Charly Caruso. Jerry Lawler then joined the panel for a preview of The Miz vs. Shane McMahon.

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

Nikki Cross terrified all involved at the opening bell, swinging her jacket as a brawl swiftly commenced. A returning Ember Moon eliminated Maria Kanelis early and Asuka then topped her, dispatching of Candice LeRae and Nikki Cross. Moon and Naomi then went head to head, with the latter soon being eliminated. An Eclipse followed, flooring Mandy but then being eliminated by Lana. Kairi Sane then flurried, wiping out Lana but being halted by Logan. The Riott Squad then removed Lana but Sane fired back, landing the InSane Elbow on Sarah but then being eliminated by the numbers game.

The trio continued to dominate too but failed to eliminate anyone, instead falling victim to Dana Brooke as suddenly only Logan remained. Vega was out next and then Brooke too, removed by Rose and Deville. James then turned the tide though, eliminating Rose but being dispatched by Deville. Only Asuka, Deville and Logan remained now, with the former champion running wild, eliminating Sonya but being thrown out by Logan. This one wasn’t over though, with Carmella instead returning and before long, she indeed removed Sarah to score the win.

Winner: Carmella

The focus then shifted to tonight’s main event, breaking down the triple threat title match in detail. Hour two is here next, with Shawn Michaels and David Otunga joining our panel alongside Sam and Coach.

RAW Tag Team Titles

The Revival (C) vs. Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder

Dawson and Hawkins got this one started, with the former mocking his foe while controlling things early. Curt then tagged in Ryder, becoming frustrated as Scott went to work on Zack. That brought Wilder in, landing strikes right away until a missile dropkick turned the tide. The comeback was only brief though, with The Revival evading Ryder to regain control. Tandem offense followed as Wilder then grounded things, grabbing a hold and using a smart tag to stay on top. Dawson then slowed things himself, forcing Ryder to rally with a desperate suplex.

Wilder prevented a tag nonetheless, cutting Zack off until he eventually created some space with a double neckbreaker. Scott prevented the tag again though, cornering Ryder as Hawkins became increasingly frustrated. Before long, he indeed made the tag regardless, as Curt run wild with strikes. He then attempted some quick pins too, almost winning the titles until a collision left both men floored. That allowed Ryder to re-enter, taking out Dawson but then wiping himself out as well with a suplex to Wilder. Hawkins tagged himself in, almost pinning Scott until Dash made the save.

Things then broke down on the outside, as all four men traded moves until Dawson concluded things with a suplex on the floor. He then threw Curt back in-ring, asking the referee to halt proceedings but then falling victim to a sudden small package!

Winners and NEW Champions: Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder

Akbar Gbaja-Biamila joined Charly and Pat next, discussing his most anticipated matches for tonight’s show. Elsewhere, Booker T took a seat on the panel and broke down Rollins vs. Lesnar.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Che and Jost immediately exited at the first bell, hiding under the ring while Strowman eliminated B-Team, EC3, Tyler Breeze and Lince Dorado. He then went head to head with Harper, trading blows until the others got involved. Heath Slater, Titus O’Neil, No Way Jose and Karl Anderson soon exited as well. The Hardy Boyz then combined, removing Rhyno and then dispatching Bobby Roode too. Mahal then eliminated Metalik while in the meantime, Andrade elevated Kalisto over the top before removing Gable as well.

A Double Caterpillar then put Heavy Machinery on top, eliminating The Ascension but then being removed by Strowman who had suddenly cleared house. Suddenly, he was only surrounded by Apollo, Andrade and The Hardyz. Acrobatics left both Crews and Andrade removed while Jeff and Matt went to work on Braun. As they looked to pull him out, Che and Jost returned, failing to eliminate Strowman who swiftly removed Jeff and Matt. Jost pointed to other solutions, bringing a therapist in-ring only for Strowman to batter him instead.

Colin then asked Che to “get him” but Michael tried to eliminate himself and was quickly assisted by Braun. That left Jost all alone and he evaded Braun but Strowman recovered, launching his foe over the top rope onto the defeated participants on the outside.

Winner: Braun Strowman

Following that, our panel reviewed the battle royal before transitioning to tonight’s main event.

Main Show

We begin proceedings with Yolanda Adams singing America the Beautiful before transitioning to a grand opening video package.

Alexa Bliss then arrived, welcoming us to WrestleMania and claiming to have this whole show in the palm of her hand. She then snapped her fingers, bringing out Hulk Hogan. He was thankful to be back at WrestleMania, running with his usual introduction and then posing alongside Bliss. Paul Heyman split them though, charging to the ring and demanding that if Brock isn’t main eventing, he’ll get his business done right away.

WWE Universal Title

Brock Lesnar (C) vs. Seth Rollins

The champion jumped Seth immediately, tackling him to the floor and going to work right away. He even F5’d Rollins on the outside, violently launching him around and not even allowing the bell to ring. When the bell finally did ring, Lesnar battered his foe in the corner, unleashing some German Suplexes. Rollins avoided the F5 though, pushing Brock into the referee and landing a low-blow. He followed up with a superkick too, next scoring The Stomp twice but failing to secure a pin.

A 3rd Stomp then followed and we had a new Universal Champion!

Winner and NEW Champion: Seth Rollins

AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton

Jerry Lawler is here to announce this next match and these two went right to work, wrestling for position until AJ unleashed some strikes in the corner. He then had to avoid RKO though, falling victim to a sharp dropkick instead as Randy took control. Orton then slowed things down, stomping on Styles’ leg but then running into a dropkick from AJ. Styles followed him to the outside too, flying over the top rope and landing a forearm on the outside. He was then greeted by a kick though, with Randy sending him violently into the barricade.

Orton then grabbed a hold, working AJ over until a strike exchange commenced. Styles came out on top, unleashing a salvo of shots and scoring Ushigoroshi for 2. Randy countered Styles Clash either way, attempting RKO but settling for his patented powerslam. AJ responded by attacking Orton’s leg himself, next thinking Calf Crusher but eating a stomp for his troubles. Styles soon caught the hold regardless but after an immense struggle, Orton reached the bottom rope. AJ then evaded the RKO counter as well, hitting a Springboard 450 Splash for 2.

Randy fired back, landing his trademark backbreaker to reset things once more. Things then headed up top, with Orton scoring his textbook superplex for yet another near-fall. An uppercut followed and then Orton’s famed rope-hung DDT too. RKO was Randy’s next thought but AJ blocked it, catching a quick roll-up but then walking into an RKO nonetheless. Styles kicked out though, leading Orton to the thought of a Super RKO until AJ fought free, landing Pele and following up too, hitting Phenomenal Forearm to the floor.

As AJ returned things to the ring though, Randy seized, thinking RKO but having it countered as Styles scored Phenomenal Forearm for the win.

Winner: AJ Styles

Lacey Evans was here next, walking around the stage before returning backstage.

SmackDown Tag Team Titles

The Usos (C) vs. The Bar vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev vs. Ricochet and Aleister Black

Jey and Black got this one started, going back and forth until Sheamus tagged himself in. Rusev then followed his lead, taking out Black and bringing in Nakamura for some tandem offense. Jimmy then took Black’s spot, landing Pop-Up Samoan Drop and running wild on Shinsuke. A kick soon halted him though, allowing Ricochet to enter with some stunning offense right away. He run wild from there, flooring Cesaro bu then running into an emphatic European Uppercut.

Cesaro Swing came next while Sheamus clubbed his foes in the meantime. Sharpshooter eventually followed but Jimmy used a superkick to break things up. Black and Rusev were the next legal men, with the former flurrying before landing a springboard moonsault for 2. Nakamura’s return allowed him to floor Black though, forcing a Ricochet save and then isolating Aleister nonetheless. Black soon evaded either way, bringing in Ricochet only for him to be caught in mid-air by Rusev. A tower of doom spot arrived before long either way, with Ricochet somehow rolling through.

As he headed up top, Black cleaned house, allowing his partner to hit 630 only for all involved to break the fall. Things then broke down, with everyone landing signature offense until only The Usos were standing, landing Double Superkicks and closing the show via Double Uce.

Winners and STILL Champions: The Usos

A video package then spotlighted last night’s Hall of Fame ceremony, with the inductees taking to the stage afterwards.

Falls Count Anywhere

Shane McMahon vs. The Miz

After demanding multiple introductions, Shane mocked Mr Mizanian briefly while on the other hand, Miz embraced his father before the first bell. McMahon then immediately bailed, leaving the ring and landing some cheap-shots while scurrying away. He next grabbed George too, running away afterwards and then dropping Miz with a sharp right hand. Strikes kept Shane on top as well, controlling things and then using a monitor to position Miz on the announce table. George stopped Shane from hitting his patented elbow drop though, protecting his son and seemingly challenging McMahon himself.

The pair then headed to the ring, with George putting his hands up only for Shane to land a vicious knee. Miz made the save though, unleashing a salvo of strikes and throwing McMahon around ringside. After checking on his dad, Miz then continued the onslaught, tackling Shane into the crowd and brawling among the fans. They then reached a platform of sorts, with McMahon landing a sudden DDT for 2. Miz kicked Shane off in response though, regaining control and seizing with some stomps to the leg.

He then used a chair too, battering Shane as he headed up the stadium stand’s steps. Miz was in total control here, dominating proceedings while clearing house too. He even threw McMahon through an announce table, next sending him flying over their platform for 2. Another salvo of punches came in response, with Miz hitting Skull Crushing Finale for another near-fall. Shane then created some space, climbing atop a structure while Miz gave chase. McMahon was soon trapped, apologizing only for Miz to batter him regardless.

He then suplexed him off the platform, somehow leaving himself under Shane and allowing the referee to count the pin.

Winner: Shane McMahon

WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles

The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection (C) vs. Nia Jax and Tamina vs. The IIconics vs. The Divas of Doom

Bret Hart briefly accompanied The Divas of Doom on the ramp here but once the bell rung, Bayley and Tamina got this one started. That allowed The IIconics to take over, controlling Beth until she suplexed both at once. That allowed Natalya’s entry as they hit Hart Attack, forcing Bayley to break the fall. The champions then turned the tide as well, using tandem offense to allow Sasha’s Bank Statement until Beth powered free, allowing Natalya to come in. She floored the champion team in moments, applying a double Sharpshooter until Tamina’s superkick reset things. Jax then returned too, throwing Phoenix and landing tandem headbutts as well.

Their plan was seemingly simultaneous splashes but The Divas of Doom prevented that, only to eat Banks’ Meteora for their troubles. Bayley and Banks followed up too, stringing together elbow drop and frogsplash for 2. A superplex was their next plan but Natalya halted that, taking out Sasha and allowing Beth to hit a Super GlamSlam only for The IIconics to steal the pin!

Kofi finally fought free as Bryan began to think back suplex though, landing a splash to Bryan’s spine for 2. A strike exchange commenced from there, going back and forth with right hands until Bryan caught Trouble in Paradise and the pair both attempted quick pins. Kingston avoided the LeBell Lock too, creating some space at last.

A double foot stomp squashed Kofi’s momentum though, flooring his foe and mockingly using the ‘YES’ chants as well. Kingston avoided the follow-up regardless, hitting SOS but being caught in the LeBell Lock immediately after. With the hold synched in, Bryan used some violent elbows too but Kofi got his foot to the bottom rope nonetheless. Bryan laughed his foe’s effort off though, next landing a flurry of kicks that Kingston refused to wilt under. Kofi then fired back, landing his own kicks and slamming Bryan face first for 2.

As Bryan bailed, Rowan intervened, blocking Kingston off until Woods and E landed Midnight Hour on the floor. Kingston then halted Bryan’s dive as well, still missing Trouble in Paradise as Bryan hit his patented knee for another near-fall. A brutal onslaught of stomps came next, with Bryan then applying LeBell Lock once more. Kingston still had life though, countering the hold with immense ground and pound. After taunting his foe, McIntyre seemingly planned Dirty Deeds but Roman responded, uncorking some right hands and dropping his foe with a big boot.

Drive-By followed and Reigns then landed a Samoan Drop on the outside too. A clothesline came next and then before long, the Superman Punch as well. Finally, The Spear closed the show.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Elias followed that, performing on the big screen with the drums, a piano and finally, appearing in center ring with his guitar. Planning on having the three versions of himself perform all at once, Elias’ ultimate performance commenced, with his peers even taking a bow at the end. That left the live Elias all alone, performing with the crowd on his side until suddenly, he was unsurprisingly interrupted. Footage of the 1932 World Series aired and then The Dr of Thuganomics appeared! John Cena was here! Triple H then looked set to make a comeback, thinking Pedigree but having it countered instead.

Batista then flattened his foe with the steel steps, next positioning them on an announce table as well. His intention was seemingly Batista Bomb, first staring down Michaels but then being countered as Triple H back body dropped him on the other table. With a symbolic ‘Suck It,’ Triple H then seized, tackling Batista through the third announce table. Neither could even return to the ring after that, instead trading blows on the floor until Triple H retrieved the sledge hammer. Batista was initially unaware but remained undeterred, landing a sudden spear for 2.

The spinebuster came next and then Batista Bomb too, with Triple H still somehow kicking out. Batista next retrieved the steel steps, setting them in center ring and positioning his rival up top. Triple H fought free though, escaping to powerbomb Batista onto the steps himself. Pedigree followed but Batista kicked out nonetheless. He then fired back too, suddenly DDT’ing Triple H on top of the steps. At that point, Ric Flair arrived, passing Triple H the sledgehammer while Batista picked up the other one. Bobby Lashley (C) vs. Finn Balor

A spinning wheel kick had Balor on top right away, flurrying with a salvo of strikes and sending Lashley to the floor. He followed him there too, landing his signature dive but then running into Bobby’s powerful slam back in center ring. Now in control, Lashley went to work with some suplexes, next heavily wiping Finn off of the apron. Balor soon fired back though, landing slingblade but then being distracted by Rush as Lashley speared him off the apron. Another spear then followed but Finn somehow kicked out, next fighting free with strikes and scoring a stunning powerbomb.

Coup De Grace came next and Balor was champion again!

Winner and NEW Champion: Finn Balor

Winner Takes All

Ronda Rousey (C) vs. Charlotte Flair (C) vs. Becky Lynch

Becky and Rousey clashed right away, with the latter coming out on top before flooring Flair too. Ronda was dominating early but her foes fired back, using the barricade to halt her. That left Charlotte and Lynch alone, trading forearms until Flair targeted Becky’s leg. Rousey then re-entered, stunning both women and then catching simultaneous armbars too. Lynch survived though, kicking Rousey to the floor as her and Flair remained again. Charlotte gained the upper hand, slamming Becky face first into the mat and heading up top.

Her moonsault was blocked though, with Lynch catching Dis-Arm-Her until Rousey re-entered, thinking Armbar until Charlotte’s knee cut her off. Double Natural Selection followed but both women kicked out. Flair and Ronda then suddenly went toe to toe, with Rousey demanding more chops before using a sharp knee to turn the tide. She then attacked an armbar as well but Flair countered, grabbing a Boston Crab that Lynch stopped via bulldog. Becky was rolling now, using a combination move to floor both for near-falls. Things then headed up top, with Lynch hitting a super exploder for 2.

Rousey then re-entered, hitting a double crossbody and then unleashing judo throws too. A double armbar came next but together, Lynch and Flair powered free, slamming Ronda three times but failing to close the show. Lynch then flurried on Flair, next meeting head to head with Rousey and applying Dis-Arm-Her. Ronda eventually muscled her way to an escape but she soon found herself caught again, this time saved by a kick from Flair. That led things upstairs once more, with Charlotte hitting Spanish Fly for another near-fall.

Flair was now dominating, isolating Ronda’s leg after dispatching Lynch. This included a ring-post assisted Figure Four but Becky broke things up again, being thrown into the barricade for her troubles. Charlotte then applied the Figure Eight in center ring but Lynch’s leg drop reset things in the nick of time. She then retrieved a table, setting it up in-ring but being cut off by Flair. Charlotte then positioned Lynch on the table but Becky fired back with Rousey then doing the same, removing the table and flurrying with punches instead.

A Double Spear then floored both but failed to close the show. Now desperate, Flair placed the table in the corner but was sent into it herself, with Rousey and Lynch combining counters to leave themselves standing alone. Both exchanged strikes from there and Ronda came out on top, landing a big knee and thinking Piper’s Pit only to be rolled up for the win!

Winner and NEW Double Champion: Becky Lynch

Rousey disputed the result but Lynch’s celebration commenced, holding both titles high as fireworks sent us off the air!
