WWE Trademarks Four Ring Names Including Ben Carter

WWE has filed for four new trademarks on ring names.

On Friday, January 8, WWE filed to trademark the following names:

* Tony Gill

* Ben Carter

* Tino Sabbatelli

* Joshua Bruns

The following description was given for all four:

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

Ben Carter recently debuted with NXT UK, losing a Cruiserweight Championship match to Jordan Devlin. Prior to debuting in NXT UK, Carter was featured on a late-night episode of AEW Dynamite.

Speaking of All Elite Wrestling, Tino Sabbatelli wrestled on a few episodes of AEW Dark during the brief time that he was let go by WWE.

Tony Gill is the name of former IMPACT Wrestling star Gursinder Singh. According to WWE’s website, Tony will be competing for the NXT UK brand as well.

As of this writing, it is not confirmed who Joshua Bruns will be used for. Joshua Brun is the real name of former EVOLVE star Josh Briggs.
