WWE Survivor Series Weekend To Be Held In Chicago, Illinois In 2019

Some big news!

WWE is coming off the helms of their Survivor Series pay-per-view which took place inside of the Staples Center in Los Angeles. That same building hosted Saturday’s NXT TakeOver: War Games II and will also be the home of today’s RAW and tomorrow’s SmackDown television tapings. Whenever WWE hosts their big events, the city in-which these shows are happening in get a large dose of WWE action and it will be the same come Royal Rumble weekend and WrestleMania 35 weekend in 2019.

Although Survivor Series weekend for WWE is about to wrap up, the battleground for next year’s RAW versus SmackDown warfare has been unveiled. According to the Chicago Tribune (RedEye), Survivor Series weekend in 2019 is taking place in Rosemont, IL and all four events: NXT TakeOver, Survivor Series, RAW and SmackDown will be held inside of the Allstate Arena from November 22nd to the 25th. John Saboor, who is WWE’s Executive Vice President of Special Events issued the following statement concerning the news:

“WWE is so proud of our relationship with our fans in Chicago,” said John Saboor. “Allstate Arena, going back to when it was known as Rosemont Horizon, has been such an important partner of WWE, dating back to the ’80s.”

By this time next year, SmackDown will have been moved over to FOX and will no longer be on Tuesday nights and will air on Friday nights. So, the first of the weekend’s festivities will be SmackDown in Rosemont, followed by TakeOver, then Survivor Series then capping off the weekend with RAW.

“I think the entire WWE family and universe is looking forward with great anticipation to the move from Tuesdays to Friday nights,” Saboor said. “What an exciting springboard.”
