WWE SmackDown Overnight Viewership Averages Over 3 Million For 12/25 Episode
WWE SmackDown overnight viewership over 3 million for a championship Christmas.
According to overnight numbers released by Showbuzz Daily, the December 25 episode of SmackDown averaged 3.336 million viewers, up from the 1.030 million viewers the December 18 episode averaged.
The Christmas Day episode of Friday Night Smackdown which featured three Championship matches was the first episode to crack over 3 million viewers on average for the entire year of 2020. The first hour garnered over four million viewers for the WWE Universal Championship match between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns.
In the 18-49 demographic, the show averaged a 1.1 rating. Between ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, and NBC, WWE SmackDown was bested by the Mavericks/Lakers game in hour one and bested everything else. The show also drew a 1.3 rating in the 25-54 demographic.

Hour 1: 4.097 million viewers, 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic
Hour 2: 2.574 million viewers, 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic
