WWE Smackdown! Live Results 11/14 WWE Smackdown! Women’s Championship Match, United States Championship Match & More!
This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown! Live! We have an action packed show tonight as Charlotte comes home to the Queen City to challenge Natalya for the WWE Smackdown! Women's Championship, Sin Cara challenges Baron Corbin for the WWE United States Championship and much more so be sure to come back here at 8PM EST for all of the action and be sure to stick around for the podcast after show!
-We open the show with Shane McMahon talking backstage to the entire Smackdown! Live roster about their match against RAW this Sunday night at WWE Survivor Series. Shane tells Baron Corbin and Kalisto that their title match tonight has implications for Survivor Series and that the winner will face The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Daniel Bryan then comes out to the ring as we see how he was assaulted by Kane last month on RAW. Daniel says that he's lucky to be standing in the ring after what Kane did to him and that he and Smackdown! Live have something in common and that's that neither of them know how to stay down. Daniel talks about how team RAW added Triple H to their team and talks about how team Smackdown! Live attacked RAW and that if team RAW show up tonight to retaliate that team Smackdown! Live will be ready.
Daniel says that Smackdown! Live will win at Survivor Series and show that it is the better brand and has the more talented roster. Daniel then talks about how John Cena will be on the Smackdown! Live team before introducing the new WWE champion AJ Styles. The WWE Universe erupts for AJ Styles before Daniel makes himself AJ's advocate in the same vein as Paul Heyman and introduces AJ just like Paul does. Daniel says that he disagrees that AJ will beaten by just one F-5 and he understands why Paul believes that, going on to say that Brock has a propensity for quitting and that whenever Brock is pushed into deep water that he always quits and that AJ will push Brock to his physical and mental limit. Daniel then finishes by saying that you only need one reason to watch Survivor Series is for AJ Styles before AJ steps in and says that he can talk and isn't a puppet.
AJ then talks about how he will defeat Brock at Survivor Series as we go to commercial.
WWE United States Championship Match
Baron Corbin (c) vs Sin Cara
Sin Cara tries to use his speed against the bigger and slower Corbin, running the ropes and kicking his legs before hitting an arm drag that sends Corbin out of the ring as he opts to take a few minutes to regroup as we go to commercial.
Corbin slams Sin Cara face first into the mat as we come back from commercial, playing to the crowd and talking to him before Sin Cara comes back with a flurry of offense and sends Corbin back out of the ring and hitting a tope to the outside. Sin Cara rolls Corbin back into the ring and rolls him up for a near fall before Corbin catches Sin Cara in the air and hits a Deep Six out of nowhere for a near fall. Sin Cara pulls the top rope down and sends Corbin over the top rope and out onto the floor before hitting a moonsault off of the apron. They then get back in the ring and Corbin hits the End of Days out of nowhere when Sin Cara comes at him for the pin and the win.
Winner: Baron Corbin defeats Sin Cara via pinfall with the End of Days to retain the WWE United States Championship.
-We get a video package for everything that has happened on RAW the past several weeks that involved Smackdown! Live including the siege and New Day invading before we see how Triple H returned and Pedigreed Jason Jordan as Kurt Angle looked on before Triple H inserted himself in the Survivor Series match on team RAW. We then have Daniel and Shane more or less arguing backstage before Daniel blames Shane for Kane attacking him as retaliation for what Shane ordered team Smackdown! Live to do the past several weeks.
WWE Smackdown! Women's Championship Match
Natalya (c) vs Charlotte Flair
They lock up to start the match before Charlotte rolls Natalya up for a quick two count, then backs her into the corner for a clean break. Natalya gets out of the ring after Charlotte takes her down, then Charlotte goes out after her, hitting a moonsault off of the apron before rolling her back into the ring. Charlotte then hits a boot before Natalya desperately tries to get out of the ring, Charlotte hitting a baseball slide that sends her off of the apron and to the floor as we go to commercial.
Natalya fights out of and attempted Figure Eight as we come back from commercial, then hits a series of chops before Natalya drops her with a lariat for a quick two count. Charlotte spears Natalya for a near fall before going for another Figure Eight, only for Natalya to kick her away and send her face first into the mmiddle turnbuckle for a series of two counts. They exchange slaps before Charlotte suplexes Natalya into the corner, but she rolls out of the ring before she can go for the cover. Charlotte cuts Natalya off and drops her with a boot from the apron before going for a moonsault off of the barricade, Natalya countering by powerbombing her into the ring post. Natalya rolls Charlotte back in the ring and locks in a sharpshooter, but Charlotte manages to fight her way to the bottom rope for the break. Charlotte sends Natalya out of the ring only for her to rush back in and Charlotte drops her with a boot then immediately lock in the Figure Eight for the tap and the win.
Winner: Charlotte Flair defeats Natalya via pinfall with the Figure Eight to become the new WWE Smackdown! Women's Champion.
-Charlotte is interviewed after the match where she says that she's so thankful to be able to win the championship in her home town before saying that she's going to beat Alexa Bliss this Sunday night at WWE Survivor Series and talks about her father Ric Flair who sadly couldn't be there tonight, but that she loves him before she starts to leave only for her father to come out to a massive reaction from the crowd. They then hug and leaves to the back as we go to commercial.
-We come back from commercial to a Bludgeon Brothers vignette and are told that they will be debuting next week. The Usos come out and walk down the ramp while cutting a promo on Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin before getting in the ring for Jimmy's match.
Chad Gable vs Jimmy Uso
Jimmy immediately goes after Chad and hits him with right hands before sending him out of the ring. Gable hits a dragon screw leg whip in the ropes when Jimmy goes to go out after him, then gets back in the ring and starts focusing on his leg and knee as we go to commercial.
Chad is in control as we come back from commercial, still focusing on the leg of Jimmy before missing a moonsault and landing on his feet only for Jimmy to drop him and hit a Samoan drop for a near fall. Chad hits a rolling kick that sends Jimmy outside, then Jey chases after Chad before taking out Shelton at ringside. Jimmy then capitalizes on the chaos and superkicks Chad for the pin and the win.
Winner: Jimmy Uso via pinfall
-Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn talk in the locker room about how Shane McMahon has a vendetta against them and that they are better than New Day, the Shield or anyone else and the only show that matters is the Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn show. New Day then come out to the ring and talk about their match against the Shield this Sunday night at WWE Survivor Series and how they're going to come out the victors all the while mocking the Shield and calling into question how well they can work together when they cannot fully trust one another. New Day says that they have never turned their back on each other and have never betrayed each other as we go to commercial.
New Day (Big-E & Xavier Woods) vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
New Day back Sami into their corner and repeatedly tag in and out and stomp on him before Sami gets to his corner and tags Kevin in. New Day double team Kevin, fluidly tagging in and out after every few moves before Sami comes in and is sent out of the ring. Kevin catches Xavier coming off of the ropes and pulls his legs out from under him and pulls him out of the ring and to the floor. Kevin then rolls Xavier back into the ring as we go to commercial.
Kevin has Xavier in a side headlock as we come back from commercial, then Xavier fights out of it only for Kevin to DDT him for a near fall. Kevin drags Xavier to his corner before tagging Sami in, Sami whipping him into the corner only for him to hit Kevin with a forearm and send him off of the apron. Xavier tags Big-E in and he drops Sami repeatedly before hitting a huge splash. Xavier then hits a tope to the outside before team RAW shows up in the crowd and the team Smackdown! Superstars stand in solidarity be Kevin and Sami roll out of the ring and leave.
Winner: No contest due to interference.
-We have both brands tag team champions brawling in the ring before we go backstage and see the RAW women's division attack the Smackdown! Live one. We then have the rest of team RAW come out to the ring before Shane and the Hype Bros come out. Kurt then comes out to the ramp and has Braun come out to the ring and empty it before dispatching of Shane McMahon. We end the show with team RAW standing tall.
