WWE Smackdown on FOX Results for 9/10/21 Smackdown Super Show Edge vs Seth Rollins

WWE returns to Madison Square Garden tonight at 8pm EST on FOX with the Smackdown Super Show!

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight’s edition of WWE Smackdown on FOX!

– We open tonight’s show with The Bloodline before Brock Lesnar comes out and interrupts Roman and company before Roman takes his title from Paul and The Bloodline leave as Paul does his best to get Brock on his side as he’s left alone in the ring with him. Brock then tells Paul that he wants his shot at Roman Reigns’ Universal title before telling Paul that he has five seconds as he counts down before Roman comes back in and saves Paul from a F5 before Brock runs over The Usos. Brock then hits Jimmy and Jey with Germans before Roman, Paul, and the Usos leave together.

– We get a brief interview with Paul backstage as he is visibly upset before saying that Roman will answer Brock’s challenge when Roman deems it to be appropriate.

Ten Man Tag Team Match

Before the match Sami introduces Trae Young from the Atlanta Hawks to be in his teams corner before Dolph and Nakamura start the match off before Otis attacks Nakamura and hits a running splash in the corner as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Nakamura in the ring with Sami as Nakamura gets the hot tag to Rey who hits a diving seated senton and a code red for two before everyone hits a move until Sami sweeps Rey. Trae chokes Rey in the ropes before the referee ejects him from ringside before Rey hits Sami with head scissors and the Mysterios hit a double 619. Big E then comes in and finishes Sami off with the Big Ending for the pin and the win.

Winner: Big E, The Mysterios, King Nakamura, and Rick Boogs defeat Apollo Crews, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode, and Otis via pinfall.

– After the match E is interviewed about where he’s going to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase while teasing later tonight with Roman and Monday with Bobby Lashley as we go to commercial.

– We come back from the break to the contract signing for the Smackdown Women’s title match at Extreme Rules between the champion Becky Lynch, and the challenger Bianca Belair. Bianca signs the contract and says that Becky has lost her respect, and that she can gain it back after their match at Extreme Rules when she takes her title back. Becky comes out next and sits at the table before saying that Bianca was starstruck when she came out at Summerslam before asking what if she doesn’t sign the contract. Adam and Sonya tell Becky to sign the contract before Bianca and the fans chant for Becky to sign the contract before Becky stands up and becomes enraged at how the fans are treating her. Becky takes offense to the WWE Universe choosing what Becky calls a flash in the pan over her before a smattering of EST chants begin and Becky agrees before signing the contract and tossing it to Bianca who catches the contract. Becky then leaves as Bianca and Becky yell back and forth at each other.

– Backstage Paul is on the phone before he’s nearly ran over by Shotzi and Nox and their tank before shooting him with the missile only for Paul to be interviewed yet again where Paul says that Roman intends to watch The Usos defend their Smackdown Tag titles against the Street Profits later tonight.

Seth Rollins vs Edge

Seth and Edge exchange head locks before Edge sends Seth face first into the turnbuckle and the post before Seth comes back with a knee and drives Edge through the ropes and out of the ring before hitting a suicide dive as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Seth in control of Edge as he hits a springboard knee for two before Seth dodges an enzuigiri and hits a pair of Glam Slam’s for a deep two count before they counter each other until Seth scrambles to the ropes. Edge then hits Seth with a pedigree for a near fall before going up top and hitting a diving clothesline to Seth at ringside as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Edge slamming Seth as he’s still in control before Seth meets Edge up top and Edge counters a superplex into a front suplex and locks in the Edgecator before Seth sends Edge into the bottom turnbuckle to break the hold. Edge locks in a cross face before Edge smashes Seth’s face into the mat and Seth gets to the ropes for the break before hitting an Edgecution before Seth counters a spear into a neckbreaker and Edge counters a stomp into a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Seth then hits a buckle bomb before going for the stomp and Edge spears him for a near fall before Seth low blows Edge and hits a stomp into a trio of superkicks into a stomp for the pin and the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins defeats Edge via pinfall.

– After the match officials, EMT’s and Sonya come down to the ring and check on Edge as Seth looks on as we go to commercial.

– We come back from the break to Edge being loaded into an ambulance with Rey and Adam at his side.

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs Street Profits

Montez immediately dropkicks Jimmy before booting Jey off of the apron and Jimmy sends Montez off of the apron before hitting a suicide dive as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to SP in control of Jimmy before Jimmy backs Angelo into the corner and tags in Jey before SP clear the ring and take out both Usos at ringside as Roman makes his way down to ringside as we go back to commercial.

We come back from the break to Roman and Paul now at ringside with SP in control as Jey comes in and gets dropped by Montez before rocking Jimmy with kicks and dropkicking Jey before hitting a blockbuster with one shoe on for two. Jimmy and Montez exchange forearms before Angelo comes in and SP hit a doomsday blockbuster for a near fall before Jey superkicks Angelo for two before Angelo rolls Jimmy up before Jey superkicks Angelo from ringside. Jey then hits a diving splash for a near fall before Roman rushes into the ring and locks in a guillotine on Montez for the disqualification when Sp are about to become the new tag champions.

Winner: Street Profits defeat The Usos via disqualification, but The Usos retain their titles due to champions advantage.

– After the match Roman gets on the mic and says that he’ll take care of Brock after he takes care of Finn Balor before Finn comes out to the ring as The Demon as we go off the air with Roman and Finn facing off.
