WWE SmackDown (9/22) Average Viewership Drops, Remains Above Two Million Viewers

Check out the viewership numbers for the September 22 episode of WWE SmackDown. 

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that WWE SmackDown on September 22 recorded 2.227 million viewers in final viewership. This is down heavily from the the September 15 episode, which recorded 2.569 million viewers. That episode featured surprise appearances from The Rock and Pat McAfee.

Furthermore, the September 22 episode recorded a 0.63 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is also down from the previous Friday’s 0.70 rating.

According to Jed. I Goodman, WWE SmackDown scored 2.115 in the preliminary viewership numbers on Friday. This number is down from the 2.445 million preliminary viewers the show posted on September 15. 

Friday’s episode scored a 0.58 (758,000 viewers) rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. This is down from the 834,000 demo prelim viewership number the show posted last Friday.

Last Friday featured a surprise appearance by The Rock and an advertised appearance by John Cena. The September 22 episode also featured John Cena.
