WWE Smackdown 8/7 Viewership Down, Still Number One On The Night
An outstanding tag team main event wasn’t quite enough for SmackDown to build on last week’s audience. According to ShowBuzz Daily, SmackDown averaged 2,197,000 million viewers on Tuesday, down from the 2,401,000 viewers the show averaged last week.
Despite the decrease in overall viewership, the .73 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic was enough to put SmackDown at the top of cable rankings.
Miz & Mrs finished third on the night with a .47 rating in the 18 to 49 viewership and 1,225,000 total viewers. The viewership numbers were down by 78,000, but the demographic rating was up .01 from last week.
The match between Shinsuke Nakamura and R-Truth currently leads WWE YouTube’s viewership among SmackDown videos with 783,000 views. Daniel Bryan’s attack on The Miz has 579,000 viewers. The unseen footage from the attack currently sits at 88,000 views. Randy Orton’s promo to open the show, AJ Style’s promo building his SummerSlam match with Samoa Joe, and Becky Lynch & Charlotte against The IIconics round out the top five in terms of YouTube views.
