WWE SmackDown 7/3 Draws Record Low Viewership For First-Run Episode On FOX
On Fourth of July weekend, SmackDown’s viewership draws a record-low viewership for an episode that aired live on FOX.
According to overnight numbers released by Showbuzz Daily, the July 3 episode of SmackDown averaged 1.776 million viewers, significantly down from the 2.173 million viewers the June 26 episode averaged. No SmackDown that aired live on FOX has had a worse viewership number, beating the 1.918 million viewers the May 1 episode drew.
The only time SmackDown drew a worse viewership number since the move to FOX was October 25, 2019 when that show averaged 888,000 viewers due to it airing on FOX Sports 1.
In the 18-49 demographic, the show drew a 0.4 rating, which is down from last week’s 0.5 rating in that same demographic. Between ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, and NBC, SmackDown tied with ABC’s Shark Tank and NBC’s The Wall for the second-highest rating in the 18-49 demo in primetime. The show also drew a 0.5 rating in the 25-54 demographic, down from last week’s 0.7 rating.
