WWE Smackdown 3/6 Viewership Down 100,000 Viewers
Smackdown viewership dropped slightly this week.
This week's average viewership for Smackdown according to Showbuzz Daily was 2,590,000 viewers. Last week saw an average that was 100,000 viewers higher and the week before was also slightly higher than this week's episode. But for the first time in weeks, Smackdown was not first in the cable original shows because Smackdown was outranked by a NBA basketball game between the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma CIty Thunders which was the Rockets' 16th straight win. Smackdown averaged 790,000 viewers in the 18 to 49 year old demographic.
This episode of Smackdown was the last episode of Smackdown before Sunday's pay-per-view WWE Fastlane. On Smackdown, matches featured were Randy Orton versus Jinder Mahal, Carmella's first singles match in months, and a main event which started as a singles match but ended up being a fatal five-way match between some of the men in Sunday's main event.
On YouTube, two videos received a lot more views than the other videos and those were the main event fatal five-way match and AJ Styles response to John Cena's Wrestlemania proposal and both received over 800 thousand views.
