WWE SmackDown (11/15/24) Results
– Cody Rhodes kicked off the show calling out Kevin Owens. Instead, he got Nick Aldis. Aldis said that he would not allow Owens to appear until the situation regarding Randy Orton was handled internally. Cody was pissed off, trying to appeal to the wrestler in Aldis, explaining that he had to call Randy Orton’s wife in the hospital after what Kevin did. Aldis explained that he understood the issue but needed to stand his ground and show the wrestlers on SmackDown that he was not a pushover. Cody said he would give him a limited amount of time but he wasn’t going to wait for long and wanted the opportunity to handle Kevin himself.
– Jimmy Uso explained to Jey Uso and Sami Zayn that Roman Reigns wants them all in the same room tonight to go over the game plan for WarGames. Zayn went off to try and appeal to somebody to be their fifth team member.
* Women’s United States Championship Tournament: Bayley def. Candice LeRae and B-Fab
– LA Knight is coming up next to defend the WWE United States Championship. He was seen talking to Sami Zayn.
– Back from commercial break, B-Fab is being controlled by Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven come up to talk smack to her. Michin comes to her aid. They continue to tease Chelsea about getting thrown into a dumpster a month ago.
– LA Knight comes out and confirms that Sami Zayn tried to get him to join WarGames. He said no and he also said he wouldn’t care if both sides of the Bloodline took each other out. Now he’s focused on defending the WWE United States Championship. Legado Del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar, Humberto Carrillo, Elektra Lopez, and Angel Garza come out to answer the challenge. Escobar tries to take the match for himself but Knight shuts him down saying they’ve already had the match. Instead, he offers it to Berto, who blindsides him with an attack.
* WWE United States Championship: LA Knight (c) def. Humberto Carrillo
– Shinsuke Nakamura shockingly returned to attack Knight after the match.
– Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Jimmy Uso are talking backstage about how they don’t have a fifth man. They despondently walk into Roman Reigns’ locker room is the live crowd chants, “OTC!”
– The next segment involved OG Bloodline walking into Roman’s locker room. They had to tell him they didn’t have a fifth guy. They saw the new Bloodline walking to the ring on their monitor and decided to follow suit. A brawl broke out in the middle of the ring. This led to the revelation of Bronson Reed being the fifth man. Reed attacked Roman from behind and the group continued to decimate the OGs.
– A social media video from Kevin Owens plays. Owens says he was turned away from the building tonight but will be in Salt Lake City next week because Cody Rhodes has requested it.
* WWE Tag Team Championships: Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) (c) vs. Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) ends in a no contest.
– Tommaso Ciampa hit the ring and attacked The Profits and The Guns. Johnny Gargano came out to try to calm down his partner. Ciampa ended up pushing him to the ground. The Profits attacked Shelley and Sabin after the match.
– Bayley spoke to Naomi before the main event. She told her that she was aware of what was going on on Raw and that she believed Naomi should watch out for IYO SKY. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill came into the frame, and there was a tense moment between them and Bayley.
* WWE Women’s Championship: Nia Jax (c) def. Naomi
– Bayley tried to come out to neutralize the interference of Tiffany Stratton, but Candice LeRae came in to give the champion the advantage that allowed her to retain. Lou Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were also backstage and they took out Bianca and Jade.
– After the main event, Roman Reigns was seen in his locker room hesitating to make a phone call. The call he made was to “The Wise Man” but unfortunately, for him, the phone number was apparently disconnected.
