WWE Raw (6/26/23) Results: Seth Rollins Update, Ronda Rousey In Action, Women’s MITB Summit

– Seth Rollins updates fans
– Dominik Mysterio addresses Cody Rhodes

– A video package recaps the history between Dominik Mysterio and Cody Rhodes.
– Rhea Ripley and Mysterio are in the ring. Mysterio is getting booed like crazy. Ripley takes the mic and says Cody Rhodes is slowing down in terms of his momentum. Cody Rhodes comes out to interrupt.Cody Rhodes actually gets to say welcome to Monday Night Raw without being booed. Ripley says Dom is a very dangerous man. Dom still doesn’t get the chance to talk. So instead, Ripley said to Cody that at Money in the Bank, Dom would show Cody how dangerous of a man he is. Cody Rhodes quotes The Cat in the Hat because he says Dom is a child, and Dom back that up by walking away from Cody.
Cody Rhodes announces he’ll fight Damian Priest one-on-one tonight while Mysterio walks away. Dom teases going back for a fight but then walks away. Cody Rhodes says at WWE Money in the Bank he wants Dominik to show him if he is half the man his father is or if he is “Mami’s little boy.”
– Footage is shown of Bronson Reed pinning Shinsuke Nakamura last week. Nakamura makes his entrance. He takes on Ricochet next.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Ricochet
Bronson Reed is watching the match from the announce table. Nakamura hits a couple blows, which are followed by Good Vibrations. Ricochet’s kick is countered by Nakamura, who lands a spinning elbow. Ricochet attempts a headscissors, but Nakamura kicks him in the face. Ricochet lands a kick before throwing Nakamura onto the apron. Using the ropes, Nakamura secures a rear naked choke.
Reed rises up and applauds both individuals. Ricochet and Nakamura exchange blows on the floor. Nakamura confronts Reed. Reed is kicked in the head with an Enzugiri by Ricochet. Nakamura follows suit. Reed is hurled into the barricade. Reed is hit by a Ricochet baseball slide . Reed becomes agitated and attempts to enter the ring. Reed is kicked by Nakamura. Reed is ejected by the referee.
Nakamura lands an Enzugiri after the break. Ricochet hits a head kick in response to Nakamura’s sliding German Suplex. Ricochet’s springboard clothesline. Ricochet’s handspring back elbow. Ricochet is a standing shooting star. Nakamura retires at two.
Ricochet attempts a Spingboard Moonsault. Nakamura raises his knees. Nakamura’s front-falling suplex. Ricochet is stomped out by Nakamura. Nakamura’s exploder connects. Ricochet dodges the Kinshasa and hits the Recoil. Nakamura doesn’t stay down. Ricochet ascends to the top. Nakamura stops him. Nakamura uses a running knee. Ricochet lands a Standing Sliced Bread after a number of reversals. Ricochet wins via pin over Nakamura with a Shooting Star Press.
Winner: Ricochet
– Footage is shown of Matt Riddle asking for an Intercontinental Championship match against Gunther at WWE Money in the Bank. Byron Saxton then interviews him about his challenge. Ludwig Kaiser interrupts his interview. They brawl. Gunther attacks Riddle. Challenge accepted.
– Dominik Mysterio approaches Adam Pearce and demands to have a match tonight to show Cody Rhodes what’s in store for him on Saturday. Ripley tells him to wait before naming his opponent.
– Money in the Bank by the numbers video package airs.
Ronda Rousey vs. Raquel Rodriguez
A quick match. Rodriguez tries to overpower Rousey. Rousey tries to out-wrestle Rodriguez, including attempting to lock in an Armbar utilizing the ropes. She goes for Piper’s Pit, but Raquel counters and power slams her down, or at least attempted to, but Rousey countered it. Rousey continues to go for submission holds until an Armbar is countered by Raquel completely overpowering her and throwing her to the other side of the ring. Raquel follows up with an avalanche in the corner, she goes for a twisting press off the middle rope, but Baszler pulls Rousey out of harm’s way. Morgan attacks Baszler. Rousey uses a pinning combination to defeat Raquel.
Winner: Ronda Rousey
– Finn Balor video package. Finn says the guy that beat Seth Rollins in 2016 at SummerSlam is dead. Finn is still holding a grudge because Seth Rollins walked out cackling after he had to relinquish the WWE Universal Title in 2016 due to injury. Balor says that bitterness is all he has now.
– Rollins is next.
Seth Rollins comes out and reveals that Carmelo Hayes, WWE NXT Champion, is in the audience. He puts over Hayes as a fighting champion. Rollins then turns his attention to Finn Balor and his bitterness. He says that no matter what the best version of Finn Balor pales in comparison to the best version of Seth Rollins.
Seth challenges Finn Balor to come out right then, and there but Balor does not. Seth Rollins goes to leave, and then Balor comes out with a chair. Rollins avoids the chair but they brawl to the outside. Carmelo Hayes eventually steps in and stops Finn Balor from using a chair. It is later announced that carmelo Hayes will face Finn Balor.
– Footage shows Tommaso Champa being interviewed by Byron Saxton. He is agitated that The Miz never checked on him while he was hurt. They are scheduled to fight next.
The Miz vs. Tomasso Ciampa
On his way to the ring, Miz assaults Ciampa. Ciampa’s previously damaged hip is slammed against the apron by Miz. Ciampa is writhing in agony. Ciampa’s legs are suplexed into the barricade by Miz. Ciampa raises himself to his feet. Miz delivers the Skull Crushing Finale on Ciampa. Miz walks away as the referee examines Ciampa.
Winner: No Contest
– Gunther and Kaiser argued with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn backstage. Zayn challenged Gunther to a fight tonight.
Akira Tozawa vs. Dominik Mysterio w/Rhea Ripley
Dominik launches an attack on Tozawa as soon as the bell sounds. Tozawa opens fire and lands a couple of blows. Dominik launches Tozawa into the air, but Tozawa responds with a Huricanrana. Tozawa’s Shining Wizard connects. Tozawa goes for his dive. Dominik escapes out the ring. Tozawa ascends to the top. Tozawa gets distracted by Ripley. Tozawa is knocked from the top by Dominik. Dominik takes the victory with a frog splash.
Winner: Dominik Mysterio
– The Women’s Money in the Bank Summit commences. Bayley brags about being the only woman in this year’s match to have won a match previously. Zelina Vega hypes everybody up. Trish Stratus eventually speaks out about being a woman and once again needing to step up and save the division. She asks Becky Lynch if she’d be man enough to thank her after she wins on Saturday. Becky Lynch kicks off the physicality, and all of the women brawl. Eventually, Lynch is alone in the ring and climbs the ladder, symbolically touching the briefcase she hopes to win on Saturday.
– Carmelo Hayes is interviewed backstage by Cathy Kelley. He promises not to miss tonight.
Gunther w/ Ludwig Kaiser vs. Sami Zayn w/ Kevin Owens
– Becky Lynch confronts Rhea Ripley backstage. Lynch says that she doesn’t need the title, but the title needs her, and she’s hoping to get the briefcase just to watch Ripley squirm.
Gunther applies a headlock to Zayn. Zayn tries to battle his way out but is knocked down again. Zayn throws Gunther through the ropes. With a shoulder block, Gunther runs over Zayn. Gunther resumes the headlock. Zayn throws Gunther back into the ropes. Zayn uses a deep arm drag. Gunther answers with an uppercut. Zayn deflects a chop in the corner and lands his own. Zayn throws an elbow at Gunther. Zayn tries ten punches in the corner. On crutches, Giovanni Vinci approaches the ring.
Zayn tries for a springboard. Gunther catches Zayn in the air and suplexes him. After the break, Gunther chops Zayn. Zayn almost catches Gunther off guard with an explode. Gunther lands a massive clubbing chop. Gunther’s onslaught continues. Zayn hits a sunset bomb off the second rope for two. Zayn unleashes a barrage of blows. Zayn flies over Gunther and hits him with a clothesline. Gunther uses a sleeper after reversing the Blue Thunder Bomb.
Zayn responds with the Blue Thunder Bomb. Gunther kicks out. Gunther delivers a powerful chop to Zayn. Gunther lands a top-rope splash. Zayn won’t stay down Owens assaults Kaiser to minimize his interference. Owens is kicked in the face by Gunther. Zayn catches Gunther off guard with a dive. Zayn flings Gunther into a corner with an exploder. Kaiser gets on the apron. The referee becomes distracted. Vinci slams one of his crutches into Zayn. Gunther quickly Powerbombs Zayn to secure the victory.
Winner: Gunther
– Following the bout, Owens assaults Gunther and Kaiser. Imperium fights back. Riddle runs down to the ring and saves them.
Carmelo Hayes vs. Finn Bálor
Balor knocks Hayes down and delivers a couple of shots. In the corner, Balor works over Hayes. Hayes fights to break free from Balor’s headlock. Hayes throws Balor into the ropes. Hayes does a dropkick. Hayes binds Balor with ropes and lands the fadeaway. Balor emerges from the ring. Hayes hits a dive. Balor hits several chops after the break. Hayes fails to land a splash off the second rope. Hayes unleashes a barrage of blows.
Hayes’ springboard clothesline nets a two-count. Hayes hits the ropes and is flipped inside out by Balor’s lariat. Hayes is stomped by Balor. Balor’s Slingblade. Balor prepares for the Woo dropkick. Hayes responds with a superkick. Hayes’ slingshot DDT connects. Balor kicks out Balor connects with a gut buster. Hayes trips and falls into the corner. Balor’s dropkick. Balor gets to the top and hits the Coup de Grace to secure the victory.
Winner: Finn Balor
– A video highlights The Bloodline’s ongoing civil war.
Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Priest
Priest and Rhodes tie-up. Priest ultimately secures a side headlock. Rhodes throws Priest against the ropes. Priest sends Rhodes down with a Shoulder Block. Rhodes connects with one that ends up sending Priest into the ropes. Priest delivers another tackle, knocking Rhodes out. Rhodes hits an uppercut. Rhodes scores with a dropkick. Rhodes targets Priest’s arm. Priest counters the corner strikes with his own right hand. In the corner, Priest stomps on Rhodes.
Rhodes delivers a snap powerslam. Disaster Rhodes scores.Priest walks away. Rhodes’ figure four countered by Priest’s kick. Priest’s headlock driver. Rhodes walks away.Priest battles his way out of CrossRhodes. Rhodes hits a Pedigree. To avoid being pinned, Priest rolls out of the ring. Priest’s sidekick. Rhodes is still alive.
Priest dives from the second rope right into a Rhodes superkick. Dominik breaks up the Cody Cutter as Ripley distracts the referee. Rhodes walks right into Heaven’s South. Rhodes walks away. Priest prepares the Razor’s Edge. Dominik is standing on the apron, distracting the official. Rhodes flees and lands a Cody Cutter. CrossRhodes is struck by Rhodes for the victory.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
