WWE Raw 3/23/20 Results: Randy Orton Responds To Edge, Tag Team Action & Becky Lynch Attacks

– Paul Heyman appears to start the program and he goes over all of Brock Lesnar’s accolades while a video package airs, Drew McIntyre appears as well and he talks about facing Lesnar at ‘Mania 36 while a video package airs.

– Paul Heyman appears in the ring live with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Heyman says we all live in uncertain times and he says that Lesnar is the only certainty in our lives. Heyman says that McIntyre can do all that he wants before ‘Mania 36, but it won’t help him defeat Lesnar at ‘Mania 36. Heyman says Lesnar will make it quick and not painless at ‘Mania 36, Heyman says McIntyre will main event WWE for years to come because of the fight he’ll put up against Lesnar. Heyman says Lesnar is going to be leaving ‘Mania as the undisputed champion of the world.

– Highlights are shown of last week’s contract signing between AJ Styles and The Undertaker.

– Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena vs. Seth Rollins from WWE Royal Rumble 2015 is shown in its entirety.

– A video package airs highlighting the feud between AJ Styles and The Undertaker.

– Another video package airs highlighting the feud between AJ Styles and The Undertaker.

– AJ Styles makes his way to the stage with the rest of The OC, Styles talks about how ‘Mania 36 will take place over two nights. Styles says he doesn’t care which night the match with The Undertaker takes place on, Styles again brings up the relationship between The Undertaker and his wife. Styles says it looked like ‘Taker wore maternity pants last week on Raw, Styles mocks ‘Taker for appearing on Twitter with Michelle McCool and a rescue tiger before showing the video on the big screen. Styles says ‘Taker’s wife has taken the mystique away from him, Styles says he wants to face the old school ‘Taker at ‘Mania 36 and he will bring back The Deadman at ‘Mania 36. Styles then challenges ‘Taker to a Boneyard Match at ‘Mania 36, Styles says McCool has buried the career of ‘Taker.

– Charly Caruso interviews Zelina Vega, Andrade and Angel Garza, Vega mocks Caruso’s appearance while saying her team will win the Raw Tag Team Titles at ‘Mania 36. Andrade says he and Garza want the tag team titles, while Garza puts the moves on Caruso.

– Highlights are shown of Edge challenging Randy Orton to a Last Man Standing Match for ‘Mania 36.

Angel Garza & Andrade w/Zelina Vega vs. Ricochet & Cedric Alexander

The match begins with Ricochet attacking both opponents before the bell sounds, Alexander makes his way to the ring before the match becomes official. Ricochet cracks Andrade with a series of strikes, Andrade fights back and he drops Ricochet with a boot to the face. Ricochet recovers and he drops Andrade with a head scissors takedown followed by a drop kick, Garza distracts the ref and that allows Andrade to gain control over Ricochet. Ricochet goes to the top rope and Andrade knocks him to the arena floor, Garza attacks Ricochet before The Street Profits make their way to ringside as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Andrade working over the arm of Ricochet, Garza tags in and he double teams Ricochet with Andrade for a near fall. Garza then nails Ricochet with a running knee strike to the head before holding him with a chin lock, Andrade tags in and he cracks a cornered Ricochet with some strikes. Garza tags back in and he again double teams Ricochet with Andrade, Garza takes Ricochet down with a headlock before landing a basement drop kick.

Ricochet fights back and Garza drops him with a kick to the midsection, Andrade tags in and he double teams Ricochet with Garza for a near fall. Andrade goes to the top rope and Ricochet nails him with a head kick followed by a hurricarana, Alexander and Garza are tagged into the match. Alexander quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team, Alexander nails Garza with a springboard flat liner for a near fall. Ricochet tags back in and he double teams Garza with Alexander for a near fall, Andrade hits the ring to attack the opposition. Ricochet and Alexander drop Andrade with a double super kick, Garza leaps off the top rope and Ricochet nails him with a drop kick as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Alexander and Andrade having a striking exchange, Alexander ends the exchange by nailing Andrade with a Neuralizer for a near fall. Andrade sends a charging Alexander into the corner landing a double knee strike for a near fall, Garza tags in and he nails Alexander with a slingshot suplex for a near fall.

Garza holds Alexander down while wrenching away on his arm, Andrade tags in and he attacks Alexander with some strikes. Garza tags back in and he works with Andrade to hit Alexander with a double power bomb for a near fall, Ricochet attacks Andrade and Andrade trips him up on the ring apron. Alexander rolls up a distracted Garza for a near fall, Garza recovers and he nails Alexander with a knee strike for a near fall. Garza then hits Alexander with a middle rope moonsault for a near fall, Andrade tags in as Ricochet kicks him in the face. Ricochet then takes out Garza with a suicide dive, Alexander then hits Andrade with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Alexander gets angry and he stomps away on a downed Andrade, Andrade recovers and he nails Alexander with a spinning elbow strike for a three count.

Winners: Angel Garza & Andrade w/Zelina Vega

After the match, The Street Profits come to the ring before getting into a brawl with Angel Garza and Andrade.

– Highlights are shown of Steve Austin’s appearance on last week’s Raw.

The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) vs. Shane Thorne & Brendan Vink

The match begins with Dawkins scoring a takedown on Shane before landing a shoulder tackle, Ford tags in and he nails Shane with a drop kick. Ford corners Shane while attacking him with some strikes, Shane fights back and he tags Vink in before Vink drops Ford with a boot to the face. Vink nails Ford with a plethora of strikes before landing a slam for a near fall, Vink then holds Ford in a front headlock. Ford fights back and Vink corners him before tagging Shane in, Shane and Vink then double team a cornered Ford. Shane stands over Ford while landing a series of stomps and kicks, Ford fights back and Vink tags into the match. Ford nails Vink with an enziguri before Dawkins and Shane tag in, Dawkins quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. The Street Profits hit Shane with The Cash Out for a three count.

Winners: The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

– Highlights are shown of R-Truth winning the 24/7 Championship from Riddick Moss this past weekend.

– Charly Caruso interviews Shayna Baszler, who says that Caruso looks nervous around her and that Becky Lynch should expect to lose at ‘Mania 36. Baszler says she wants the Raw Women’s Title because it will destroy Lynch, Lynch appears behind Baszler and she attacks her with a steel chair.

Aleister Black vs. Leon Ruff

The match begins with Black taking a seat in the middle of the ring, Ruff misses a kick attempt and Black lands Black Mass a short time later for s three count.

Winner: Aleister Black

Kevin Owens is in the ring and he says Seth Rollins was nowhere to be found last week, Owens asks Rollins to come out to answer his challenge from last week and Rollins comes out on stage. Rollins says he has a few questions for Owens regarding what was said last week, Rollins doesn’t understand why Owens thinks he has a home field advantage at ‘Mania 36. Rollins says the Performance Center was built due to his sacrifices, Rollins talks about his start in the WWE. Rollins says he has had to succeed in the WWE so people like Owens can have their chance in the WWE, Rollins says NXT and the Performance Center doesn’t exist without him. Rollins questions Owens as to why he wants to face him at ‘Mania 36, Rollins says Owens is a failure when competing at ‘Mania and that he doesn’t stand a chance at ‘Mania 36.

Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka from ‘Mania 34 is shown in its entirety.

– Charly Caruso interviews Charlotte Flair, who talks about what she accomplished in past ‘Mania’s and she plans on defeating Rhea Ripley to win the first ever NXT Women’s Title Match in ‘Mania history.

– Randy Orton makes his way to the stage to address Edge’s challenge for a Last Man Standing Match at ‘Mania 36, Orton says everything he has done over the last few months has been misunderstood. Orton says his actions were out of love and people have mistaken it for brutality, Orton says he lied to Beth Phoenix about calling Edge a junkie for the roar of the crowd, Orton says that Adam Copeland is a junkie for Edge. Orton says he was handed an opportunity due to his lineage in pro wrestling, Orton says that opportunity didn’t guarantee a hall of fame career. Orton talks about all of his accomplishments and how he earned them all, Orton says he also took the torch from Mick Foley. Orton says he went from a prospect to having the three most dangerous letters in professional wrestling, Orton says his grit has to do with longevity and being the lone constant in the WWE locker room. Orton says he has done everything he did over the last few months was because he loves Edge, Orton accepts Edge’s challenge for ‘Mania 36 and he promises to write their final chapter on that night.
