WWE Raw (2/5/24) Results: Cody Rhodes vs. Shinsuke Nakamura In A Bullrope Match
WWE hosted its latest episode of Monday Night Raw on February 5, 2024. The episode was highlighted by Cody Rhodes taking on Shinsuke Nakamura in a Texas Bullrope Match.
There will also be a follow-up after Cody Rhodes revealed he won’t be taking on Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 40.
Gunther is also slated to return to Monday Night Raw and celebrate over 600 days as WWE Intercontinental Champion.

WWE Raw (2/5/24) Results
– Seth Rollins comes to the ring. He says he needs to know who Cody Rhodes is going to face at WrestleMania. The crowd is solidly behind Cody and even booing The Rock as Cody makes his entrance. Rowland says he wants to test himself against the best and that he considers Cody Rhodes to be the best. He asks Cody if it’s going to be him that he chooses to fight, before Cody can answer Drew McIntyre interrupts. Drew McIntyre tells Cody Rhodes to finish the story and he wants to be the one to fight Seth Rollins. Rollins questions what makes McIntyre think that they are just going to have a match. McIntyre attacks Rollins and Cody attacks McIntyre to make the save. We still have no idea who Cody will be facing at WrestleMania.
* Tag Team Contenders Four-Way: DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) def. The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed), Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci), and New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods)
– Shayna Baszler and Becky Lynch cut promos. Their WWE Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match is next.
* Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Becky Lynch def. Shayna Baszler
– Liv Morgan cuts a promo backstage saying she is ready to get her revenge on Rhea Ripley
– Adam Pearce fines Drew McIntyre for his actions earlier in the night. Their discussion backstage is interrupted by footage of Rhea Ripley storming to the ring. Ripley demands Nia Jax show up on the spot. Adam Pearce heads to the ring to prevent a confrontation. He reveals that both women will face each other at WWE Elimination Chamber for the Women’s World Championship. Jax and Ripley brawl anyway and the segment ends with Nia Jax Standing Tall after hitting the AnNiahilator.
– A video package recaps Bayley choosing to face IYO SKY at WrestleMania.
* Ivar & Valhalla def. Maxxine Dupri & Akira Tozawa
* The Miz def. JD McDonagh (w/ Dominik Mysterio). R-Truth provided a distraction for McDonagh by trying to give him money in the middle of the match. The announcers played it up as though Truth isn’t just playing dumb but he’s being calculated.
Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci are backstage at Adam Pearce’s office, ensuring that everything is for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship celebration. Pearce tells them to go because he has a meeting. Bron Breakker steps in and the two discuss a possible WWE Raw deal for him.
– A CM Punk recovery video package airs.
– Gunther’s 600-day celebration is interrupted by Jey Uso who says he is ready to become the next WWE Intercontinental Champion. Gunther says he’s going to beat him so bad that he will wish it was the good old days when no one could tell him apart from Jimmy Uso. They start to brawl but Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci attack Uso. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston make the save.
* WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) (c) def. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter
– Sami Zayn cuts a promo about still having the spirit of an underdog but knowing he’s a contender and wanting to be World Heavyweight Champion.
* Bullrope Match: Cody Rhodes def. Shinsuke Nakamura
– After the match Drew McIntyre attacks Cody Rhodes, laying him out with a Claymore Kick.
