WWE Raw 2/17/20 Results: Randy Orton Is Sorry, AJ Styles Returns & The 24/7 Championship Is Defended

Randy Orton makes his way to the ring to start the show, Orton points to the Titan Tron and a video airs of his attacks on Matt Hardy and Edge. Orton says he is supposed to face Hardy in a No Holds Barred Match tonight, but that won’t be happening tonight because Hardy is still trying to get cleared. Hardy interrupts and he makes his way onto the stage, Hardy says Orton should confess as to why he attacked Edge. Hardy says he came here tonight to fight Orton, but the doctors won’t clear him to compete tonight. Hardy says his future won’t be determined on Orton’s terms, Hardy gets in the ring while still wearing a neck brace. Orton says nobody will ever understand while he attacked Edge a few weeks ago, Orton says he still respects Edge and loves him like a brother. Orton says he is sorry before leaving the ring and heading backstage, Orton heads back to the ring and Hardy gets a steel chair.

Orton avoids a chair shot before attacking Hardy, Orton then hits Hardy with an RKO before attacking him with the chair. Orton leaves the ring before returning with a second steel chair, Orton removes Hardy’s neck brace before dragging him out of the ring. Orton then places Hardy’s head on the ring steps, Orton then smashes the head of Hardy with the steel chair a few times.

Erick Rowan vs. Aleister Black

The match begins with Black attacking Rowan with a leaping knee strike, Black then sends Rowan out of the ring before landing a penalty kick. Black lands on his feet during a moonsault attempt and Rowan nails him with a running cross body block, Rowan gets Black in the ring before landing a splash for a three count. Rowan gets Black up before landing a few strikes and an avalanche, Rowan then hits Black with a boot to the face for a near fall. Rowan holds Black down while wrenching away on his head, Black fights back and Rowan drops him with a back elbow strike. Rowan stands over a downed Black while landing a few strikes, Rowan follows up on that by nailing Black with a back breaker before applying a bear hug to him. Black gets free and he causes Rowan to miss an elbow drop, Black then hits Rowan with a head kick. Black misses a head kick and Rowan nails him with a power slam for a near fall, Rowan then hits Black with a few elbow drops.

Rowan keeps Black cornered afterwards while landing a few strikes, Rowan leaves the ring and he drags Black out of it before throwing him into the barricade a few times. Rowan looks for a power bomb and Black counters to send him into the ring post, Black then hits Rowan with a moonsault before getting him back in the ring. Black follows up by nailing Rowan with a few kicks and a knee strike for a near fall, Rowan avoids Black Mass and Black nails him with a few more strikes. Rowan then hits Black with a boot to the face followed by a power bomb for a near fall, Rowan goes for the Iron Claw and Black escapes to land a pair of Black Mass’ for a three count.

Winner: Aleister Black

Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring to address what happened last night on NXT Takeover: Portland, Flair shows highlights of her attacking NXT Champion Rhea Ripley before accepting an NXT Championship Match for ‘Mania 36. Flair says she wanted to know who was telling Ripley that she could face her at ‘Mania 36, Flair says that her class built NXT to what it is now. Flair says that Ripley didn’t sacrifice what she did to get respect for NXT, Flair says she will humble Ripley at ‘Mania 36.

WWE 24/7 Championship
Riddick Moss (c) vs. R-Truth vs. Mojo Rawley

The match begins with R-Truth and Rawley brawling until R-Truth knocks him out of the ring, Moss attacks R-Truth from behind before landing a uranage for a near fall. Rawler drags Moss out of the ring before throwing him into the barricade, Rawley gets in the ring and R-Truth nails him with a few flying shoulder tackles. R-Truth drops rawley before landing a Five Knuckle Shuffle, Rawley fights back and he nails R-Truth with a press slam. Moss catches Rawley in a roll up for a three count.

Winner: Riddick Moss, still the WWE 24/7 Champion

After the match, Mojo Rawley attacks R-Truth and R-Truth nails him with a scissors kick.

– Drew McIntyre gets the microphone before the next match and he says there are only 48 days until ‘Mania 36, McIntyre then has everybody point at the ‘Mania 36 sign with him. McIntyre says Suplex City is now located in Claymore Country, McIntyre promises to win the WWE Championship at ‘Mania 36. Paul Heyman comes out and he introduces WWE Champion Brock Lesnar before saying he wasn’t here tonight, Heyman says that Lesnar will defeat Ricochet at WWE Super ShowDown and then beat McIntyre at ‘Mania 36. McIntyre tells Heyman that he can say Lesnar’s name all that he wants, but McIntyre will defeat him at ‘Mania 36. Heyman says he is a fan of McIntyre, Heyman then brings out MVP and MVP says that he says that he has a big issue with McIntyre. MVP talks about how McIntyre disrespected him last week, MVP says he will defeat McIntyre tonight.

Drew McIntyre vs. MVP

The match begins with MVP attacking McIntyre with the microphone before the bell sounds, MVP then hits McIntyre with a boot to the face. McIntyre recovers and he nails a charging MVP with a boot to the face, McIntyre corners MVP next while landing a ton of strikes. MVP fights back and McIntyre nails him with a Future Shock DDT, McIntyre then hits MVP with a Claymore Kick for a three count.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

– Highlights are shown of Shayna Baszler attacking Becky Lynch on last weeks Raw air.

– Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring and she has a bag in hand, Lynch says she came to America to seek fame and fortune. Lynch opens up the bag and she dumps a bunch of money out of it, Lynch says she is paying her fine ahead of time because she says bad things will happen when she finds Shayna Baszler. Lynch says Baszler bit her in the neck to weaken her before going for the kill, Lynch goes through the list of everybody she has beaten during her title reign. Baszler appears on the Titan Tron and she says she’ll win the women’s Elimination Chamber to face Lynch at ‘Mania 36, Baszler says everything has been laid out perfectly for her to beat Lynch at ‘Mania 36. Lynch says she’ll be rooting for Baszler to win the Elimination Chamber match.

– Charly Caruso interviews Bobby Lashley, Angel Garza, Lana and Zelina Vega backstage, Lana says the tag match taking place tonight was her idea. Vega says she and Garza are business partners, Garza says there is no woman who can tie him down and no man who can beat him.

Rusev & Humberto Carrillo vs. Bobby Lashley & Angel Garza w/Lana & Zelina Vega

The match begins with Lashley tossing Carrillo into the corner, Carrillo avoids Lashley before landing a drop kick and a few strikes. Lashley recovers and he drops a charging Carrillo with a shoulder block, Garza tags in and he wrenches away on the arm of Carrillo. Carrillo gets free and he nails Garza with an arm drag, Carrillo follows up by hitting Garza with a top rope diving headbutt. Carrillo then hits Garza with a series of arm drags while Rusev goes after Lashley, Garza recovers and he nails Carrillo with a shotgun drop kick. Garza leaves the ring to kiss a fan and Carrillo nails him with a suicide dive as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Garza kicking a downed Carrillo in the back. Lashley tags back in and he attacks Carrillo with some more strikes, Lashley nails Carrillo in the back with some butt smashes. Lashley looks for a Dominator and Carrillo escapes to tag Rusev in, Garza tags in as Rusev cleans house against the opposing team.

Rusev nails Garza with a few overhead belly to belly suplexes for a near fall, Lashley hits the ring and Rusev goes after him. Garza then hits Rusev with a super kick for a near fall, Garza leaves the ring and Carrillo hits him with a suicide dive. Lashley then hits Carrillo with a spear before getting jumped by Rusev, Rusev gets Garza back in the ring before going to the top rope. Lashley distracts Rusev so Garza can land a head kick, Rusev knocks Garza off the ropes before landing a diving headbutt for a near fall. Rusev goes for The Accolade and Garza escapes, Lashley tries interfering and Rusev nails him with a Machka Kick. garza rolls up Rusev while holding the tights for a three count.

Winners: Bobby Lashley & Angel Garza w/Lana & Zelina Vega

– Asuka & Kairi Sane are shown backstage.

Natalya vs. Kairi Sane w/Asuka

The match begins with Natalya scoring a takedown on Sane, Sane fights back and she cracks Natalya with a few strikes. Sane goes to the top rope and Natalya causes her to leap off, Sane pie faces Natalya and Natalya slaps her before landing a suplex for a near fall. Natalya looks for a sharp shooter and Sane quickly gets to the ropes, Sane recovers and she hits Natalya with a spinning elbow strike. Sane holds Natalya down while raking her face, Sane also applies the chin lock to a downed Natalya. Natalya fights back and Sane drops her with a hair pull before applying a scarf hold, Natalya gets free after nailing Sane with a jaw breaker. Natalya then hits Sane with a few strikes before Sane sends her into the corner, Natalya recovers and she hits Sane with a spinning clothesline for a near fall. Natalya looks for a sharp shooter and Asuka distracts her, Sane knocks Natalya to the arena floor and Asuka kicks her in the head while the ref was distracted. Natalya doesn’t beat the count back into the ring and the ref calls for the bell.

Winner: Kairi Sane w/Asuka, by count out

– Murphy and AOP are in the ring for Seth Rollins’ sermon, Murphy introduces Seth Rollins and Rollins makes his way to the ring. Rollins thanks everybody for making him the Monday Night Messiah, Rollins says what he’ll say tonight is divine. Rollins says that tonight is about moving forward in their collective vision, Rollins says his squad took a big step forward in phase one when they vanquished Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and The Viking Raiders last week. Rollins says that phase two will see them seek out of the weak to eradicate them, The Viking Raiders interrupt and hit the ring to brawl with AOP as Rollins and Murphy head backstage. Murphy gets in the ring and The Viking Raiders eliminate him and the AOP, Kevin Owens comes out and he nails Rollins with a stunner.

– Seth Rollins and gang are shown backstage when they are approached by Charly Caruso, Rollins says his men are the only people who respect him. Rollins says the AOP and Murphy will face Kevin Owens & The Viking Raiders tonight.

– The OC make their way to the ring, AJ Styles grabs a microphone and he says that he is back on Raw. Styles questions what ‘Mania 36 season would be like without him, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson call Styles the new Mr. Wrestlemania. Styles proclaims himself to be the greatest superstar in WWE history, Styles says nobody will criticize him after he wins the gauntlet match at WWE Super ShowDown. Styles says he doesn’t care who is next after WWE Super ShowDown, Ricochet interrupts and makes his way to the ring. Styles says nobody believes that he’ll become the WWE Champion, Ricochet says that he earned his shot at the title and he will beat Brock Lesnar at WWE Super ShowDown. Ricochet challenges Styles to a match tonight and Anderson says that he’ll face Ricochet instead tonight.

Ricochet vs. Karl Anderson w/AJ Styles & Luke Gallows

The match begins with Anderson attacking Ricochet with a few strikes, Ricochet fights back to hit Anderson with a head scissors takedown and drop kick. Anderson leaves the ring and Ricochet nails him with a suicide dive, Gallows distracts Ricochet so Anderson can attack him. Styles and Gallows attack Ricochet as Anderson distracts the referee, the referee sends Styles and Gallows backstage. Anderson gets Ricochet back in the ring before dropping him with a hard Irish whip into the corner, Anderson mounts Ricochet while landing a few strikes. Anderson follows up by nailing Ricochet with a back suplex for a near fall, Anderson keeps Ricochet down while applying a chin lock. Anderson then hits Ricochet with a modified neck breaker for a near fall, Anderson keeps Ricochet down while stomping away on him. Ricochet shocks Anderson with a few roll ups for a few near falls, Anderson recovers and he nails Ricochet with a neck breaker for a near fall.

Anderson keeps Ricochet down again while applying another chin lock, Ricochet fights back and he nails Anderson with a rolling drop kick. Ricochet then hits Anderson with a few leaping forearm strikes, Ricochet then hits Anderson with a head kick and springboard cross body block. Ricochet follows up by hitting Anderson with a standing shooting star press for a near fall, Ricochet misses a 630 attempt before eating a spine buster for a near fall. Ricochet recovers to hit Anderson with a super kick and a Bemadryller for a three count.

Winner: Ricochet

– Charly Caruso interviews Liv Morgan, who says she was excited to see Ruby Riott return and then felt betrayed after Riott attacked her. Morgan says that she isn’t who Riott described her to be, Morgan says she will eliminate Riott from the Elimination Chamber match before moving onto ‘Mania 36.

Kevin Owens & The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs. Murphy & AOP (Rezar & Akam)

The match begins with Owens nailing Murphy with a drop kick followed by a bunch of strikes, Ivar tags in and he nails Murphy with some more strikes. Ivar then cracks Murphy with a shoulder tackle, Erik tags in and he double teams Murphy alongside Ivar. Erik grabs Murphy and he nails him with a few knee strikes, Owens tags back in and he nails Murphy with more strikes. Owens then drops Murphy with a back elbow strike, Erik tags back in and he hits Murphy before tagging Ivar back in. Ivar drops Murphy before landing a fist drop, Erik tags in and he slams Ivar onto a downed Murphy for a near fall. Murphy fights back and he tags Akam into the match, Erik and Akam get into a striking exchange. Ivar tags in and he double teams Akam alongside Erik, Erik tags back in and Akam nails him with a power slam followed by some strikes. Rezar tags in and he nails Erik with a knee strike for a near fall, Akam tags back in and he double teams Erik with Rezar.

Murphy tags in and he nails Erik with a leg lariat before applying a chin lock to him, Erik gets free and Murphy halts his momentum before tagging Akam in. AOP double team Erik until Erik takes them both out, Murphy and Owens are tagged in by their respective partners. Owens quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team, Owens then hits Murphy with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker followed by a cannonball and Vader Bomb for a near fall. Murphy fights back and he nails Owens with a series of kicks, Owens recovers to hit Murphy with an enziguri and DDT for a near fall. Owens goes to the top rope and Murphy crotches him after some interference from AOP, AOP drag Owens out of the ring before throwing him into the barricade a few times. Rezar tags in and he works over a downed Owens after getting him back in the ring, Rezar holds Owens down while twisting away on his head. Owens gets free and Rezar attacks him with a ton of strikes, Akam tags back in and he nails Owens with more strikes.

Murphy tags back in and he kicks away at a cornered Owens, Owens fights back and he drops Murphy with a pair of super kicks. Rezar tags in and he nails Owens with more strikes, Murphy tags back in and he gets a near fall on a downed Owens. Owens fights back and he drops a charging Murphy with a right, Ivar tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team. Erik tags in and he nails Rezar with a double knee strike before throwing Ivar into him, Owens tags in and he nails Rezar with a swanton bomb for a near fall. Murphy tags back in and Owens avoids his leap to land a sit out power bomb for a near fall, a brawl breaks out between both teams and it spills to the arena floor. Owens then hits Murphy with a stunner and Seth Rollins interferes to cause a DQ.

Winners: Kevin Owens & The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar), by DQ

After the match, Seth Rollins and his disciples continue attacking Kevin Owens and The Viking Raiders. Rollins grabs a microphone and he says that he told everybody what would happen to those who got in his way, The Street Profits come out to make the save for Owens and company. Rollins heads backstage as his disciples get destroyed.
