WWE Raw 12/11 Viewership Down From Last Week, Third Hour Drop Stabilizes
Raw's ratings were down from last week.
Showbuzz Daily reports that Raw scored 2,685,000 viewers. That is down from last week's 2,813,000 viewers. Despite the drop in the ratings, the three hours were ranked 3rd, 4th and 5th for the night, with only Love and Hip Hop, Sportscenter and NFL scoring better ratings in the 18-49 demo. The hours are as follows:
Hour 1: 2,876,000 viewers (0.87)
Hour 2: 2,608,000 viewers (0.82)
Hour 3: 2,570,000 viewers (0.85).
The good news is that the third hour drop wasn't as significant as last weeks drop. Interestingly, the third hour did better in 18-45 than the second hour, which doesn't seem to happen too often.
Raw this week was centered on the The Shield and their current adversaries. Roman Reigns defeated Cesaro to retain the Intercontinental title. Seth Rollins scored a win over Sheamus, and Samoa Joe defeated Dean Ambrose after Jason Jordan got involved.
Meanwhile, a match between Braun Strowman and Kane would determine the next challenger for Brock Lesnar's Universal title…except it didn't. The two brawled before laying each other out on the outside, causing a double count out. The two continued to fight until Strowman got the upper hand, leaving Kane lying.
Next week will have the return of Brock Lesnar, as well as a match between Drew Gulak and Cedric Alexander that will determine the next challenger to Enzo Amore's cruiserweight title.
