WWE Opening Two Spots At April Tryout For AAF Players
Another door opens for AAF players.
Yesterday, it was reported by Darren Rovell that the Alliance of American Football (AAF) would be suspending football operations. The league still had four weeks of games remaining. This was news among the wrestling world as the AAF was looked at as a potential competitor to Vince McMahon’s XFL, which is set to kick-off in 2020.
Now, it’s news among the wrestling world for another reason. Following the announcement, WWE Director of Talent Development Paul Fair tweeted that WWE would open up two spots for AAF players at their upcoming April tryout.
–RT: W/ the bad news coming out today for the players involved w/ #AAF, I’m opening up 2 spots to our April @WWE Tryout. Any player open to exploring opportunities beyond FB can complete a profile at https://t.co/fKGN3ZMVEV & enter #AnotherDoorOpens in the “Referred By” section.
