WWE NXT UK Results for 9/24/20 Kay Lee Ray Retains, Pretty Deadly Victorious

The top prize in the NXT UK Women’s division is on the line today at 3pm EST!

Good afternoon Fight Fans, and welcome to today’s edition of WWE NXT UK!

– We open backstage with Assistant to the General Manager Sid Scala talking to the men involved in the Heritage Cup before we get a graphic for Pete Dunne who will be overseeing the drawing later tonight.

– We get a graphic for the NXT UK Women’s Championship match later tonight in our main event.

WALTER vs Saxon Huxley

Saxon goes right at the leader of Imperium before WALTER drops him with an uppercut and Saxon gets out of the ring. Saxon picks up the stairs and throws them before rocking WALTER with boots and powerslamming him. Saxon hits a diving clothesline for two before hitting several elbow drops and a Thesz Press when WALTER gets out of the ring. WALTER dodges a boot and chops Saxon before Saxon sends WALTER into the steps. WALTER hits a scoop slam onto the floor before hitting a PK to the spine and dropping him back first across the barricade.

WALTER powerbombs Saxon onto the apron before WALTER gets back into the ring and Saxon gets back in at the count of nine. WALTER hits Saxon with wrist lock knife edge chops before WALTER locks on a sleeper and hits a release German suplex. WALTER then sets Saxon on the top turnbuckle and hits a superplex before chopping him across the back of the neck and finishing with a powerbomb for the dominant win. 

Winner: WALTER defeats Saxon Huxley via pinfall.

– We see the NXT UK Women’s champion Kay Lee Ray pacing outside ahead of her title defense later tonight as we go to commercial.

– We come back to a brief interview with Saxon Huxley saying that he’ll defeat WALTER next time before we get a break down of the rules for the Heritage Cup.

– We go to the ring with Sid and all but one of the men in the Heritage Cup before introducing the longest reigning NXT UK champion Pete Dunne. Pete encourages the men in the tournament to make a name for themselves before Joseph Conners and Dave Mastiff are announced as the first match. Next the wildcard entrant will be facing Trent Seven and Flash Morgan Webster will go against A-Kid. The final match is then announced as Noam Dar and Alexander Wolfe, Dar trying to cheap shot Wolfe before Pete stops him. Pete then snaps the fingers of Dar and dumps him out of the ring with the announcement of the tournament kicking off next week.

– Piper Niven is backstage getting a pep talk by Dani Luna and Xia Brookside ahead of her title challenge as we go to commercial.

The Hunt vs Pretty Deadly

Boar and Sam start things off with Boar chopping Sam before hip tossing him for one. Boar backs into his corner before Primate his a diving ax handle off of the top and Sam quickly tags in Lewis. Primate immediately drops Lewis before whipping him into the corner and tossing him across the ring. Lewis gets dropped with a back elbow before Primate hits a scoop slam and uses Boar as a weapon and dropping him onto Lewis for two. Boar trips Lewis before Sam helps Lewis and wrenches the arm of Boar before PD take control and isolate Boar.

Boar gets two off of a sit-out powerbomb before he’s dragged back to the corner of Howley and Stroker. Boar fights out of the corner only to be slammed to the mat and Sam gets the blind tag. Boar kicks Sam away and gets the hot tag to Primate who hits a fall away slam to Sam before hitting running clotheslines in opposite corners. Lewis saves Sam from the finisher of The Hunt before sending Primate into the barricade. Lewis then distracts the referee before Boar knocks Lewis off of the apron and Sam rolls Boar up for the pin and the win.

Winner: Pretty Deadly defeat The Hunt via pinfall.

– After the match Sam and Lewis make their way up the ramp before they’re stopped by Eddie Dennis who whispers something to them before leaving and Pretty Deadly celebrate as we go to commercial.

– We come back to an enraged Boar and Primate who get words of encouragement from South Wales Subculture.

– We move the camera when the two teams leave before Sid talks to Pete and makes Pete the special referee for the match between Wolfe and Dar in the opening round of the Heritage Cup.

–  A triple threat match is announced for next week for the wildcard spot in the Heritage Cup.

NXT UK Women’s Championship Match

Kay Lee Ray (c) vs Piper Niven

They lock up for a stalemate before they lock up again and Piper shoves KLR back into the corner. KLR gets out of the ring when Piper goes to corner her before taking her time getting back inside. KLR kicks Piper in the midsection and takes Piper down to one knee before going for a double wrist lock. KLR sends Piper shoulder first into the corner before wrenching and beating Piper down and locking in a straight armbar. KLR goes back to the double wrist lock before Piper sends KLR face first into the top turnbuckle.

Piper runs KLR over and hip tosses her across the ring several times before headbutting the champion. Piper locks in a standing side headlock before taking her down and locking in a body scissors with a half straight jacket. KLR gets to her feet and focuses on the leg of Piper before Piper tosses KLR over the top rope and down onto the floor. KLR superkicks Piper at ringside before hitting a tornado DDT off of the edge of the apron. KLR smashes the face of Piper into the steps before missing a running knee strike and colliding with the steps.

KLR struggles to get up before the referee and medical personnel check on her knee. Officials help KLR up the ramp before KLR slaps Piper across the face and screams that Piper will never take her title. Back in the ring Piper beats on KLR before going right to the injured knee of KLR who gets to the ropes for the break. KLR superkicks Piper before hitting a Swanton Bomb for a near fall and Piper sweeps her. Piper hits a senton for two and follows up with KLR superkicks the knee of Piper before Piper stomps her knee and drags KLR out of the corner.

KLR rips off the bottom turnbuckle pad when Piper rips her away before KLR collapses when she goes for a Gory Bomb. Piper hits the Piper Driver for a near fall, KLR getting her foot on the bottom rope before KLR gets her knees up when Piper goes for a Vader Bomb. The referee starts to stop the match before KLR gets out of the way and Piper hits a cannonball into the corner and into the exposed turnbuckle. KLR then covers Piper and pins her to retain her title.

Winner: Kay Lee Ray retains her NXT UK Women’s Championship by defeating Piper Niven via pinfall.

– Kay Lee Ray then celebrates in the ring as Jinny comes out and watches from behind the barricade as we go off the air.
