WWE NXT UK Results for 3/12/20 Finn Bálor Returns to NXT, Takes Out Alexander Wolfe
The Prince makes his return to NXT UK today at 4pm EST exclusively on the WWE Network.
Good afternoon Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage of today’s edition of WWE NXT UK at the special start time of 4pm EST!
-Finn Bálor comes out to the ring to start the show and says that he came to NXT UK for WALTER if he has the courage to face him before WALTER comes out. The rest of Imperium then come out and swarm Finn who takes out two of them and escapes up the ramp. We then go to a backstage interview with Piper Niven who says that she and Toni Storm at like sisters and that she had to talk sense into Toni and that Kay Lee Ray is evil and someone needs to do something as we go to commercial.
-We come back to a video package for Tyler Bate before we go the ring for tonight’s first match.
Pretty Deadly vs Dereiss Gordon & Dan Maloney
PD go right after their opponents before doubling up on Dan before Lewis locks in a head lock and Dan turns him inside out with a kitchen sink. Dan suplexes Lewis for two before Gordon does a cartwheel and rocks Lewis with forearms before doing misdirection and hitting a huricanrrana into a basement dropkick for two. Lewis sets Gordon on the top turnbuckle before he gets down and Sam hits an uppercut to the back of the neck of Gordon. Lewis suplexes Gordon for two before tagging Sam back in and PD hit a pop-up uppercut for two before Sam beats on Gordon in full mount. Maloney enters the match for the first time and sends Lewis out of the ring before dropping Sam with a chop and a rip cord side slam.
Sam then rolls out of the ring before getting back in and Dan doesn’t see the blind tag before attacking Sam. Pretty Deadly then hit their finisher Deadly Pretty for the pin and the win.
Winner: Pretty Deadly defeat Dan Maloney and Dereiss Gordon via pinfall.
-After the match we go backstage to Johnny Saint and Sid Scala before Alexander Wolfe shows up and yells that he wants a match against Finn which they agree before Cruiserweight champion Jordan Devlin shows up and is informed he’s defending his belt in two weeks against Travis Banks before scoffing and leaving as we go to commercial.
-We come back to Dave Mastiff talking to South Wales Subculture before Gallus show up and they agree to a six man tag next week.
Ligero vs Noam Dar
Dar retreats into the ropes when Ligero goes after him before Ligero drops him with a forearm and Dar knocks Ligero down onto the apron before hitting a running dropkick that sends Ligero off of the apron and down onto the floor. Back in the ring Dar gets a quick two count before punching Ligero in mount and hitting a release back suplex before tearing at the mask of Ligero. They exchange kicks before Ligero sends Dar out of the ring and hits a slingshot cross body before tossing Dar back into the ring. Ligero rocks and drops Dar with a series of kicks before hitting a reverse DDT for two before getting a near fall off of a small package. Dar counters the C4L before Dar locks in an armbar and Ligero gets to the ropes for the break before hitting a pop-up forearm.
Dar then plays to the crowd before hitting the Nova Roller for the pin and the win.
Winner: Noam Dar defeats Ligero via pinfall.
-After the match we go backstage to an interview with Travis Banks about his title challenge against Jordan Devlin in two weeks before saying that he’s going to be the first Cruiserweight champion from New Zealand before leaving as we go to commercial.
Dani Luna vs Amale
They grapple on the mat before exchanging hammer and wrist locks until Dani comes back with a forearm and a fall away slam. Kay Lee Ray then comes out of nowhere and attacks Dani before tossing her out of the ring and attacking Amale before dumping her out as well for the disqualification.
Winner: Dani Luna defeats Amale via disqualification when Kay Lee Ray interferes.
-After the match KLR says that no matter if you’ve been here a while or you’re new, that the division belongs to her before Dani tries to attack her and gets hit with a Gory bomb for her troubles before reiterating to the fallen Luna that it’s her division before leaving. We then get a video package for Aoife Valkyrie as we go to commercial.
-We come back to a graphic and announcing the confirmation of South Wales Subculture and Dave Mastiff against Gallus next week as we go to the ring for tonight’s main event.
Finn Bálor vs Alexander Wolfe
Finn takes Wolfe down to the mat before Wolfe gets to his feet and Finn takes him right back down with a snap mare before chopping him in the corner. Finn whips Wolfe into opposite corners and hits running chops before Wolfe comes back with a backbreaker for two. Wolfe uppercuts Finn in the back of the neck and grounds The Prince as the rest of Imperium make their way down to ringside. Wolfe hits a back suplex for two and sends him face first into the top turnbuckle before locking in a bear hug before Finn gets free and comes back with clotheslines and a basement dropkick. Finn stomps Wolfe while staring at WALTER before the referee makes him back off and Finn immediately follows up with a sling blade.
Imperium grab the ankles of Finn before Wolfe clotheslines him and the referee sends the rest of Imperium to the back. They exchange forearms until Wolfe hits an enzuigiri and Finn counters a powerbomb into a jumping stomp before Wolfe counters a sling blade into a roll up for a near fall. Wolfe gets a near fall off of a bridging German suplex before Finn hits a reverse DDT into a shotgun dropkick before hitting the Coup de Grace. Finn then hits Wolfe with the 1916 for the pin and the win.
Winner: Finn Bálor defeats Alexander Wolfe via pinfall.
