WWE NXT Results For 9/7/21 Men and Women’s Tag-Team Title Matches, Escobar vs. Carmelo Hayes

Ember Moon vs. Kay Lee Ray

Ember Moon and Kay Lee Ray begin things with a tie-up; Kay Lee Ray takes Moon down quickly. Moon comes back and hits Kay Lee Ray with a shoulder tackle and a dropkick. Kay Lee Ray begins working on Ember Moon’s left shoulder after sending her into the turnbuckle hard. Kay Lee Ray slams Moon and goes after the left shoulder. Ember Moon hits Kay Lee Ray with a series of kicks and a step-up enzuigiri.

Moon has the cross face submission hold on Kay Lee Ray; Kay Lee Ray gets out of it; however, Moon grabs Kay Lee Ray and puts her in a triangle chokehold. So we go to our first picture-in-picture commercial break with Kay Lee Ray in control. We come back from the break with Kay Lee Ray still in control after hitting Ember Moon with a devastating lariat. Kay Lee Ray takes Moon down again and goes for the pin; however, she only gets a two count. Moon gets a small cradle pin attempt in, but Kay Lee Ray kicks out. Moon hooks Kay Lee Ray’s legs to the corner turnbuckle and stomps on Kay Lee Ray’s face multiple times.

Kay Lee Ray gets away from Moon, as the ref had to break the hold. Kay Lee Ray hits Moon with a tornado DDT. Moon is back up, and Moon lifts Kay Lee Ray for a suplex and dumps her over the top rope and onto the ground. Moon then hits Kay Lee Ray with a dive to the outside. Kay Lee Ray goes to the top turnbuckle and dives onto Moon, Kay Lee Ray goes for the pin attempt, but Moon kicks out at two. Moon is back up, and she hits Kay Lee Ray with a powerbomb/pin combo. Kay Lee Ray gets up and hits Moon with the Gory Bomb and pins Ember Moon to win.

Winner: Kay Lee Ray

– We get a promo from Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch talking about their match tonight against MSK.

– We get a clip from Indi Hartwell’s Bachelorette Party; Candice LeRae gives a speech after Hartwell says this would not have happened without her. The party has a few of her friends there, and we get an introduction of the character Persia (Steph De Lander)

Santos Escobar (w/ Legado Del Fantasma’s Elektra Lopez, Joaquin Wilde, and Raul Mendoza) vs. Carmelo Hayes

The match begins with a tie-up; Santos Escobar has the advantage right away. Escobar, however, gets cocky, and this allows Hayes to lock in a wristlock and hold onto it for quite a while. Next, Escobar begins landing multiple kicks on Hayes; Escobar lifts Hayes and hits him with a nice DDT.

Hayes nails Escobar with a superkick and then a big pump kick. NXT heads out for a commercial break; Escobar is in complete control when they return from the break. Escobar sends Hayes to the corner turnbuckle and nails Carmelo Hayes with multiple elbows, a double-knee strike, and then Escobar hits the hurricanrana. Escobar goes for the pin; Hayes kicks out. The action goes outside, and Hayes is sent into the stairwell; Escobar then puts the Boston crab onto Hayes on the steel steps.

Hayes hits Escobar with a flying clothesline; Hayes hits Escobar with a cutter. Hayes goes for the pin, Escobar kicks out. Hayes slams down Escobar face-first onto the canvas; Hayes hits Escobar with a knee strike. Hayes rolls out of the ring and gets slammed by Elektra Lopez on the outside as the ref is distracted by Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza. Hayes gets back up and is back in the ring. Santos Escobar hits the Phantom Driver immediately and pins Carmelo Hayes for the win.

Winner: Santos Escobar (w/ Legado Del Fantasma’s Elektra Lopez, Joaquin Wilde, and Raul Mendoza)

– We get a promo with Malcolm Bivens introducing the newest members of Diamond Mine. The Creed Brothers (Brutus and Julius Creed)

The Creed Brothers (w/ Diamond Mine) vs. Paxton Averill and Chuckie Viola

Brutus Creed is in the ring and goes up to Chuckie Viola and tosses him with ease, The Creed Brothers double team and hit multiple suplex’s. The Creed Brothers are destroying their opponents and hitting them both with multiple slams. The match ends quickly after Julius Creed with a devastating clothesline. Julius then gets the pin for the win. After the match, The Diamond Mine stands in the ring and celebrates their win.

Winners: The Creed Brothers (w/ Diamond Mine)

– Ember Moon is interviewed, and she says that things are not working and says that she knows what she has to do to change things.

Hit Row cuts a promo on Legado del Fantasma, talks about the attack from last week, and says they now have a problem with Elektra Lopez.

NXT Women’s Tag-Team Championship
Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter vs. Zoey Stark and Io Shirai (C)

Kacy Catanzaro and Zoey Stark begin things, and neither gets the upper hand; Kacy tags in Kayden Carter, and Zoey Stark tags in Io Shirai. Kayden Carter hits Io with a big dropkick and has control for a brief time. Carter tags Catanzaro; however, Catanzaro gets taken down quickly with a big knee from Io Shirai. They head out for a commercial break.

We are back from the commercial break; Kayden gets the blind tag as Stark has Catanzaro in the air. Carter goes on a streak and takes out both Io and Stark. Io gets the tag, and Io takes down Kayden with a nice missile dropkick. Io then puts Kayden Carter in a cross-face submission hold. Io lets go of the hold; Stark then goes right at Carter again and lays in some heavy shots.

Catanzaro gets the blind tag and gets a few shots in on Io; however, Kayden gets tagged in. She goes into the corner, and Zoey Stark tags herself in; Io seemed to have a problem with the tag. Zoey hits a big knee on Kacy Catanzaro; Io Shirai then ends it with the moonsault for the win. After the match, Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacy Jayne attack Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter. After they are done with the beat down, the trio stares down Io Shirai and Zoey Stark.

Winners: Zoey Stark and Io Shirai

– There is a promo from Kyle O’Reilly, and he talks about how one chapter and one obsession has ended; he says the NXT Championship will be his next obsession.

– They return from a commercial break, and they are now showing Dexter Lumis at his Bachelor Party. Drake Maverick, Johnny Gargano, Odyssey Jones, Zombie Referee, and Cameron Grimes. Grimes says he is paying for the party. Gargano asks Grimes what he is doing; “he had nothing but problems with the guy.” Grimes shakes hands and then hugs Lumis and calls a truce. Next, they go to an amusement park and play a variety of games. Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae are shown spying on the party. They finish with a game of laser tag. They then go to a promo inviting the viewer to the wedding on next week’s episode of NXT.

– Franky Monet and Jessi Kamea talk about the wedding invitation for InDex; Robert Stone tells Franky Monet that she will face Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Championship on next week’s show.

Mei Ying (w/ Boa) vs. Virginia Ferry

Virginia Ferry goes right at Mei Ying, and Ferry does not get any offense in. The match lasts about a minute. Ying hits Ferry in the throat and then hits her with a few kicks. Ying then grabs Ferry by the throat and takes her down, and pins Ferry for the win.

Winner: Mei Ying (w/ Boa)

– We get a vignette promo of LA Knight, and he talks about his eyes are set on Samoa Joe and the NXT Championship.

– We get a promo from Tommaso Ciampa, and he says that his first goal is going after Pete Dunne, and his second goal is “Goldie.”

– The NXT commentators go over next week’s show.

NXT Tag-Team Championship
Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan (w/ Ridge Holland and Pete Dunne) vs. MSK (C)

Nash Carter and Danny Burch begin with a tie-up; neither men gain control. Burch and Carter lock up again, and Burch takes down Carter and has him in a headlock. Carter gets back up and gets a shot in, but Burch nails Carter in the gut. Oney Lorcan is tagged in and nails Carter with a big uppercut. This knocks Carter to his corner, Wes Lee tags himself in.

Lee takes control and goes on a roll. Wes Lee takes Lorcan down; Lorcan gets up and tags in Burch. Burch and Lorcan double team Carter; Carter gets away from Burch and tags in Lee. MSK double-teams and kicks Lorcan multiple times. We go to our last picture-in-picture commercial break with Lorcan and Burch in control.

Burch slams down Carter and goes for the pin; Carter kicks out at two. Lorcan hits Carter with two big chops and then lands a bunch of rights on Nash Carter. Lorcan gets into the face of Wes Lee; Lorcan grabs Carter and brings him back into his corner. Burch and Lorcan are tagging in and out and beating down Carter. Carter gets some offense in, sends Lorcan to the outside, and then hits Burch with a jumping knee.

Carter makes it over to Lee for the hot tag; Lee then hits Lorcan with a flurry of moves. Lee hits Lorcan with a German suplex and pin combination. Lorcan kicks out. Carter hits Lorcan with a moonsault on Lorcan to the outside. Lee goes for the moonsault; however, Lorcan gets his knees up. Lorcan and Burch both put on submission holds onto MSK. Carter gets out of it and goes on a quick rampage taking out Lorcan and Burch. Lee and Carter end it with the neckbreaker combo for the victory.

After the match, MSK stands tall. Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland watch on, and MSK walks off. Dunne and Holland start attacking Lorcan and Burch. The show goes off the air with Holland and Dunne watching the crowd.

Winners: MSK
