WWE NXT (10/4/2022) Live Coverage.
– Sudu Shah, Wade Barrett & special guest announcer Byron Saxton welcomed the audience before quickly transitioning to the opening segment, with Vic Joseph being sidelined from commentary due to immigration issues per Wade Barrett. Barrett thanked immigration for keeping him off NXT for the week.
– NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) made their way to the ring to cut a promo as a part of their State of The NXT Common Wealth, dressed with white wigs. The two said that they look like the tastiest snacks in NXT before comparing themselves to the UK colonizers with trying to make NXT better. Prince & Wilson said that there were on the lookout for challengers, but they had already beaten everyone on their path. After running down the tag teams in NXT, they decreed to be awarded the tag titles forever, but they were interrupted by the Brawling Brutes (Butch & Ridge Holland), with Butch getting loud “Bruiserweight” chants from the NXT Crowd. Holland & Butch challenged Pretty Deadly to a match because Tuesday is fight night. The two sent Prince & Wilson out of the ring via vicious strikes.
– Alba Fyre attacked Toxic Attraction on the dangerous NXT Parking Lot and left in the car with NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose. Instead, the trios match would now become a Tag Team Match between Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jane against Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark.
Carmelo Hayes (w/ Trick Williams) vs. Oro Mensah.
Mensah got Hayes in a wrist lock before hitting an arm-drag takedown on Hayes. Mensah kicked Hayes onto the corner before doing a flip off Hayes’ chest. Mensah hit an overhead suplex on Hayes for a near fall. Mensah hit a springboard cross-body on Hayes to the outside. Hayes slammed Mensah’s head into the ring post before hitting a slingshot DDT on Mensah onto the apron for a near fall. Hayes dropped Mensah neck first onto the top rope before hitting a wicked chop on Mensah. Hayes hit a snap-mare on Mensah, but Mensah responded with a roll-up for a near fall. Hayes kicked Mensah in the head and connected a springboard lariat on Mensah for a near fall. Hayes got Mensah in a cravat, but Mensah slammed Hayes’ head into the middle turnbuckle. Mensah laid in the strikes before hitting a back body drop, two running forearm strikes, a German Suplex, a Scorpion Kick, and a Lionsault on Hayes. Hayes hit a Codebreaker on Mensah before hitting the top rope Leg Drop on Mensah for the pinfall win.
Winner: Carmelo Hayes (w/ Trick Williams).
– After the match, Hayes said that he will stay at ringside for the next North American Championship Qualifying Match, specifically joining the broadcast team.
– Duke Hudson confronted Brutus Creed & Julius Creed. Hudson said that if Julius Creed wanted a piece, he can see him later in the evening. Brutus shouted at medical physicians.
NXT North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier.
Andre Chase (w/ Thea Hail & Bohdi Hayward) vs. Von Wagner (w/ Mr. Stone).
The two locked up before Wagner laid in a punch on Chase. Chase hit an ankle breaker on Wagner but Wagner responded with a Big Boot. Wagner stomped down Chase. Chase hit a Dragon Screw, but Wagner reacted with a bodyslam on Chase. Chase hit a low dropkick on Wagner’s leg twice before laying in the punches. Chase hit a Russian Leg Sweep before hitting the Chase U Stomps. Thea Hail got Mr. Stone on her shoulders before hitting him with a bodyslam onto the mat. Chase got a unique pin on Wagner, but Wagner kicked out and laid in a boot on Chase followed by a Death Valley Driver for the pinfall win, advancing to the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match at Halloween Havoc.
Winner: Von Wagner (w/ Mr. Stone).
– Wes Lee launched himself onto Carmelo Hayes before referees separated the two.
– Sanga spoke with Nathan Frazier backstage before he’s confronted by none other than his former tag team champion Veer Mahan.
– Grayson Waller recruited security guards ahead of the Grayson Waller Effect later tonight.
Wendy Choo vs. Lash Legend.
Choo began the match laying the strikes on Legend before hitting a wicked chop on Legend, followed by single-leg dropkick on Legend. Choo went for a running crossbody on Legend, but Legend caught her and hit a Uranage Backbreaker on Choo on the outside. Back in the ring, Legend it a lariat on Choo’s back of the neck before leaning her head on the middle rope for a near fall. Legend hit an elbow drop on Choo’s back for a near fall. Legend slammed Choo in the corner with an Irish Whip before slamming her head on the mat. Choo evaded Legend’s elbow drop before kicking Legend’s leg and hitting a shotgun dropkick on Legends’ head. Choo hit a cartwheel elbow strike. Choo got Legend in a small package for a near fall. Choo evaded Legend’s pump kick attempt before hitting springboard splash on Legend for the pinfall win.
Winner: Wendy Choo.
– Wes Lee was interviewed backstage by Kelly Kincaid, the former ROH Interviewer & Wrestler Quinn McKay. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo confronted Lee backstage, saying that his actions would have consequences after injuring Tony D’Angelo.
– Gallus revealed that they were suspended after attacking security guards the previous week. Gallus said that when they come back, they will target Pretty Deadly & NXT Champion Bron Breakker as soon as they return.
– NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Kayden Carter & Katana Chance recalled their friendship & their careers in NXT before saying that they will be keeping an eye on the #1 Contender’s Match.

Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) vs. Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark.
Lyons & Dolin began the match, with Dolin hitting a snap-mare on Lyons. Lyons hit a back elbow on Dolin. Jayne tagged in, but so did Stark. Stark & Jayne locked up before Stark pushed Jayne and got her in a roll-up for a near fall. The two exchanged pinfall attempts before Stark hit a springboard cross-body on Dolin for a near fall. Lyons hit a spinning back fist and a mule kick on Jayne before Stark hit a springboard dropkick on Jayne, sending the two Toxic Attraction members to the outside. Dolin got a headlock on Lyons before attempting a sunset flip on Lyons, assisted by a superkick from Jayne on Lyons. Dolin hit an assisted big boot on Lyons before she & Jayne hit a double suplex on Lyons. Dolin & Jayne stretch Lyons’ back across the top rope. Lyons hit a suplex on Dolin for a near fall before Dolin hit a thrust kick and got Lyons in a chinlock. Lyons broke the hold and tried to lock in an arm bar on Dolin, but Dolin got a rope break. Dolin & Jayne hit a head kick/ running senton on Lyons for a near fall. Lyons got aroll-up on Jayne for a near fall before kicking Jayne. Stark hit a lariat, a running back elbow, a enziguri kick, three back elbows, a thrust kick and a sliding kick on Dolin for a near fall. Lyons & Stark hit a superkick/ German Suplex combo for a near fall on Dolin. Jayne and Stark exchanged superkicks before exchanging lariats. Dolin hit an STO and a head kick before Jayne hit a neck breaker on Lyons for a near fall. Lyons hit a Spinning Heel Kick on Jayne. Jayne hit a bullhammer on Stark. Stark hit the Belly-To-Back GTS on Dolin before Lyons hit the Split-Leg Drop on Stark for the pinfall win, becoming the #1 Contenders for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Winner: Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark.
– There was a video vignette with Ilja Dragunov, where he said that the NXT UK Championship was taken away from him by circumstance. He said that he was uneasy after the NXT UK Title was unified with the NXT Championship. Dragunov said that NXT Champion Bron Breakker was a man, but he was a machine. Dragunov said that he will suffer and deal with a whole lot of pain, but it will be worth it when he becomes NXT Champion. Long live The Czar.
– Grayson Waller hosted the 2nd edition of The Grayson Waller Effect, with Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade being the special guests. Waller revealed that Jade & Perez will have a rematch on Halloween Havoc. Jade asked Perez if she was going to cry again, but Perez responded that they were planning to do things together in WWE. Jade said that she will prove to the world that Perez was a whole lot of Internet Hype and little talent. Waller revealed that their match will be a spin the Wheel & Make a Deal Match. Waler insisted on spinning the wheel to determine the match Jade & Perez would be having, revealing a Weapons Wild Match. While Jade & Perez brawled in the ring, Crews pulled Waller under the ring. Crews gauged Waller’s eyes before chasing him across the ramp.
– Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler confronted a red-hooded person for not helping expand the ranks of The Schism. Joe Gacy told them that he was not mad at them, but only disappointed.
Julius Creed vs. Duke Hudson.
Duke Hudson attacked Julius from the back before stomping him down on the corner. Creed hit a forearm strike and a T-Bone suplex on Hudson. Creed hit the flipping bodyslam followed by the Unnecessary Clothesline on Hudson for the pinfall win.
Winner: Julius Creed.
– After the match, Brutus Creed attacked Duke Hudson, but was restrained by Julius & Ivy Nile. Damon Kemp called out Julius from the Raven’s Next. Kemp said that if Julius beats him on Halloween Havoc, he will reward Brutus with a rematch. Kemp said that if he beats Julius, Brutus had to leave NXT. Brutus accepted on behalf of Julius, but then Julius challenged Kemp in an Ambulance Match. Kemp accepted and told Julius to inform Roderic Strong to save a spot for him.
– There was a video vignette of JD McDonagh acknowledging his history with Ilja Dragunov & NXT Champion Bron Breakker. JD said that the winner will be the smartest competitor.
– Hank Walker was with the Security Guards ahead of his match against Xyon Quinn. Quincy Elliot told Walker to watch out with Quinn because he pissed him off last week.
– Axiom cut a promo ahead of his third match against Nathan Frazier for the North American Championship Qualifier. Axiom said that, unlike the Comic Books he reads, he will be able to write the final chapter.
Hank Walker vs. Xyon Quinn.
– Quinn slammed Walker into the corner before hitting him with a back elbow, but Walker responded with two arm drags on Quinn. Quinn hit a spinebuster on Walker before laying in the knee strikes on Walker. Quinn hit a back suplex on Walker for a near fall. Quinn got Walker in a headlock before launching him with an Irish Whip, but Walker responded with a lariat and ripping his shirt off. Walker hit a Thesz Press on Quinn followed by corner splash. Quinn slammed Walker on the corner before hitting a Forearm strike on Walker for the pinfall win. Quincy Elliot made the save for Walker and spanked Walker’s bom after the match.
Winner: Xyon Quinn.
– Cameron Grimes tried to talk some sense to the red hooded figure, but Gacy, Fowler & Reid attacked Grimes with a trash can. Gacy welcomed the red-hooded figure to The Schism for bringing Grimes to them.
– Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, Malik Blade & Edris Enofe tried to get a championship match from the Brawling Brutes, but Buch slammed a chair on the locker to stop them. Holland said that they needed to fix their stuff if they wanted a match for the tag titles, with Butch saying that he heard enough and was ready for a fight.
– NXT Champion Bron Breakker was confronted by Javier Bernal backstage challenging him to a match next week.

Brawling Brutes (Butch & Ridge Holland) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson).
Holland and Prince began the match locking up, with Holland hitting a hip toss on Prince. Holland hit a hip toss on Wilson, but Wilson hit a chin breaker on Holland. Holland hit a deadlift suplex on Wilson. Butch & Holland hit a double under-hook suplex/ shotgun dropkick on Wilson before Butch vended Wilson’s fingers before stomping Wilson’s arm. Prince tagged in and stomped down Butch for a near fall. Butch hit a lariat on Prince before he and Holland hit 10 Beats of the Bell on Wilson, sending him off the apron. Prince got back in the ring but was greeted with an uppercut in the corner by Holland followed by an Irish Whip on Prince. Holland hit a back-elbow on Prince. Butch hit a double knee drop on Prince’s arm. Wilson and Prince slammed Butch into the corner. Wilson went for a double knee drop on Butch’s arm, but Butch evaded. Wilson hit a boot on Butch for a near fall before locking in a headlock on Butch. Butch exchanged strikes with Wilson & Prince, but Prince caught him with a leaping uppercut on the corner. Holland hit two shoulder tackles and a diving tackle on Prince. Holland hit a powerslam on Wilson before hitting a headbutt on Prince and a bodyslam on Prince onto Wilson for a near fall. Prince hit an uppercut on Holland, but Holland responded with a wicked lariat on Prince. Wilson got Holland in a rear naked choke, but Butch tagged in and hit a Sunset Bomb on Prince for a near fall. Butch hit the Yes Kicks to the head of Wilson, a reference to Bryan Danielson. Butch hit a springboard moonsault on Prince to the outside before hitting German Suplex on Prince & Wilson. Wilson hit a codebreaker on Butch for a near fall. Wilson & Prince hit stereo Shote’s on Butch before Wilson hit a lariat on Butch for a near fall. Holland clotheslined Prince to the outside. Butch snapped Wilson’s fingers before hitting the Bitter End on Wilson for a near fall, thanks to Prince placing Wilson’s foot on the rope. Butch & Holland laid out Prince before Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vince interfered in the match. Wilson & Prince hit the Spilled Milk on Holland for the pinfall win. Malik Blade & Edris Enofe came to the ramp to confront Pretty Deadly before Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen stood from the Raven’s Nest. Pretty Deadly stood tall to end the broadcast.
