WWE NXT (10/11/2022) Live Coverage.
– Vic Joseph and new broadcast member & WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T welcomed the audience before quickly transitioning to the opening match.
Bron Breakker vs. Javier Bernal.
JD McDonagh was on the broadcast table for the match. Breakker & Bernal began the match throwing Bernal with three takedowns before getting him in the corner. Breakker got Bernal in a hammerlock before getting him in a wrist lock, but Bernal got a wrist lock of his own on Breakker before Breakker tossed Bernal with a Fireman’s Carry takedown. Breakker slammed Bernal in the corner before tossing him with an overhead suplex. Bernal ran the ropes before laying in the strikes on Breakker. Breakker shook them off and hit three punches, two diving shoulder tackles, and a snap spinebuster on Bernal. Bernal got to the middle rope, but Breakker slammed Bernal off the top rope before getting him in the Gorilla Press Poweslam for the pinfall win for the NXT Champion.
Winner: Bron Breakker.
– Breakker & McDonagh stared at each other face-to-face in the ring before Ilja Dragunov interrupted proceedings. McDonagh chose violence and hit a vicious headbutt on Dragunov before laying in the punches on Breakker. Dragunov stood back up and went to hit the Torpedo Moscow on Breakker & McDonagh, but only hit Breakker as McDonagh evaded. Dragunov got the NXT Title and stood in the ring with the belt.
– There was a video package promoting the match between Alba Fyre & Jacy Jayne occurring later in the night.
– There was a video package recapping Axiom & Nathan Frazier’s feud ahead of their third match happening after the commercial break.
NXT North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier.
Axiom vs. Nathan Frazer.
The two locked up to begin the match before Axiom got a lateral press on Frazer for a near fall. Axiom got Frazer in a headlock before transitioning into a wrist lock into an Irish Whip, but Frazer flipped over Axiom and ran the ropes, but Axiom caught Frazer’s leg for a submission. Frazer got out of the hold and hit a dropkick on Axiom. Frazer hit a Lionsault on Axiom before attempting Reverse DDT, but Axiom broke out and attempted a dropkick before Frazer blocked the attempt. Axiom got Frazer in a wrist lock before pinning him for a near fall. The two got in a Greko-Roman Lock-up before Axiom leaped to the top rope and slammed Frazer’s arm in the rope. Frazer met him at the top rope and attempted an Avalanche Frankensteiner, but Axiom dropped down and made Frazer slam his legs onto the top rope. Axiom got Frazer in a Waist Lock, but Frazer broke the hold and hit a thrust kick on Axiom for a near fall. Frazer hit a snap-suplex on Axiom for a near fall before locking in a chin lock on Axiom. He transitioned the chin lock into a side headlock. Axiom tossed Frazer into the ropes to break the hold, but Frazier responded with two shoulder tackles for a near fall before locking in another headlock on Axiom. Axiom broke the hold, but Frazer hit a double-leg takedown on Axiom before attempting to lock him in a Boston Crab. Frazer turned his body around and locked in the Boston Crab on Axiom, but Axiom counted it into a small package for a near fall. Frazer went for another Lionsault, but Axiom caught him in mid-rope by slamming him to the mat with a modified German Suplex before hitting a top-rope crossbody on Frazer for a near fall. Axiom hit a Fisherman’s Suplex on Frazer for a near fall and attempted a top rope move, but Frazer hit a dropkick on Axiom to send him out of the ring. Axiom got back in the ring, but Frazer caught him with a leg drop. Frazer went for a Phoenix Splash on Axiom, but Axiom caught him in a Triangle Choke before transitioning into a double Fujiwara Arm Bar, but Frazer got a rope break. Axiom hit a vicious enziguri kick on Frazer before hitting a Triangle Moonsault on Frazer to the outside. Frazer went for a Suplexplex into a Falcon Arrow, but Axiom reversed it mid-air into a sleeper hold. Axiom & Frazer hit each other with a double clothesline to stay on the ground. The two exchanged strikes before Axiom caught Frazer in a back slide for a near fall. Axiom & Frazer exchanged Thrust Kicks before Axiom got a knee strike on Frazer. Frazer and Axiom exchanged pins before Frazer cinched in a pinfall position for the pinfall win, advancing to the North American Title Ladder Match on Halloween Havoc.
Winner: Nathan Frazer.
– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Ilja Dragunov backstage but was interrupted by Grayson Waller wearing ridiculous sunglasses. Ilja told Waller that he will stay in the building. Dragunov vs. Waller was announced for later in the night.
– Valentina Feroz asked Sanga to accompany her into the ring for her match against Indi Hartwell. Hartwell confronted Feroz and told her that she would not have an easy time with her.
– There was a video package showing Apollo Crews challenging Grayson Waller to a match at Halloween Havoc. Chucky showed up in Crews’ allusions for some reason.
Valentina Feroz (w/ Sanga) vs. Indi Hartwell
The two locked up to begin the match before Hartwell leaned Feroz into the ropes and pushed her out o the ring. Hartwell hit two body slams on Feroz for a near fall before locking in a chin lock on Feroz. Veer Mahan came to the ring and whispered to Sanga, leading to Sanga walking to the back with Veer. Hartwell got Feroz in a Torture Rack but Feroz broke the hold and locked in an Arm Bar on Hartwell, but Hartwell hit a deadlift back suplex on Feroz to break the hold. Feroz locked in another arm-bar on Hartwell, but Hartwell got a rope break. Feroz hit a running knee on Hartwell for a near fall. Feroz hit an arm drag and a Meteora on Hartwell for a near fall. Feroz got to the ropes, but Hartwell punched Feroz before hitting a deadlift superplex on Feroz for the pinfall win.
Winner: Indi Hartwell.
– NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) were on the raven’s nest cooking Barbeque to watch the triple threat tag match to determine a #1 Contender for their titles.
– Cora Jade was interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell but was bamboozled by Mitchell, who said that Roxanne Perez will be on SmackDown this upcoming Friday.
Triple Threat Tag Match – #1 Contender’s Match for NXT Tag Team Championships.
Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs (w/ Fallon Henley) vs. Edris Enofe & Malik Blade vs. The Dyad (Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid) (w/ Joe Gacy).
Blade & Jensen double-teamed Fowler before Fowler hit a running forearm on Blade. Briggs & Jensen hit stereo shoulder tackles on the Dyad before hitting double forearms on Blade. Briggs slammed Reid into the apron but was greeted by Blade with a dropkick. Reid hit a side back-breaker on Blade before Fowler & Reid hit an assisted back-breaker on Briggs onto the outside. Fowler hit a ripcord lariat on Blade before hitting a release back suplex on Blade for a near fall. Reid hit a double ax handle on Blade before Fowler stomped down Blade. Blade hit a lariat and a knee drop on Fowler before tagging in Enofe. Enofe hit a diving lariat on Fowler before hitting a hand-stand leg drop on Fowler. Briggs tossed Malik & Enofe to the outside before yeeting Reid onto Blade, Enofe & Fowler. Jensen hit a rope-walk cannonball on Enofe, Fowler, Blade & Reid before the commercial break. Back from the break, Reid stomped down Enofe & Jensen before Fowler joined the proceedings and started stomping them too. Reid & Fowler placed Enofe on the top rope to hit a double suplex, but Jensen turned it by hitting a Tower of Doom on Fowler, Reid & Enofe. Briggs tagged in and started laying jabs before hitting an apron shoulder tackle on Fowler, a rebound lariat on Blade, and a bodyslam/ splash combo on Reid. Reid and Jensen hit an assisted Atomic Drop/ Big Boot combo on Reid for a near fall. Blade hit a double crossbody on Jensen & Reid before hitting a lariat on Jensen. Blade hit a Blockbuster on Jensen before Enofe hit a frog splash on Jensen for a near fall. Fowler came in and slapped the would out of Jensen, but Enofe hit a dropkick on Fowler. Jensen hit a leg lariat on Enofe. Jensne & Briggs clubbed The Dyad before Blade & Enofe hit a cutter/ flatliner combo on Briggs before Enofe hit a twisting cross body on The Dyad while Blade hit a Tope Suicida on Jensen & Briggs. Gacy hit a discus lariat on Enofe, but Grimes leaped from out of nowhere and hit a Double Stomp on Gacy. With Grimes pulling Fowler out of the ring, Enofe got Reid in a Victory Roll for the pinfall win.
Winners: Edris Enofe & Malik Blade.
– Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin were interviewed backstage, with them saying that they would get their revenge on Fyre after her actions the previous week.
– Kiana James was at her office in a vignette, negotiating the purchase of Chase University. She will face Thea Hale late ring the night.
Alba Fyre vs. Jacy Jayne (w/ Gigi Dolin).
Jayne hit an arm drag on Fyre before the two exchanged pins. The two exchanged forearm strikes before Fyre tripped Jayne and hit a punch on her face. Dolin distracted Fyre, which allowed Jayne to hit a rolling elbow on Fyre before stomping her down in the corner. Jayne hit a running back-splash before hitting a corner cannonball on Fyre for a near fall. Fyre hit two overhead chops before hitting facebuster and two chest kicks on Jayne. Jayne sent Fyre with an Irish Whip before hitting a running neck breaker for a near fall. Fyre hit a modified Death Valley Driver on Jayne for a near fall. Dolin pulled Jayne out of the ring, but Fyre launched herself into a Tope Suicida on Jayne for a near fall. Jayne got a roll-up on Fyre for a near fall, but Fyre got out of the pin and hit a Thrust Kick on Jayne followed by the KLR Bomb on Jayne for the pinfall win.
Winner: Alba Fyre.
– After the match, Sonya Deville made her NXT return to attack Fyre from the crowd. Deville tossed Fyre into the barricade before laying in the punches on Fyre. Jayne, Dolin & Deville attacked Fyre before hitting an assisted Powerbomb on Fyre onto the broadcast table.
– Jagger Reid attacked a cameraman before Gacy picked the camera up and cut a promo on Grimes. Gacy told Grimes that they must eradicate Grimes from this world before dropping the camera to the ground.
– There was a backstage segment with Zoey Starks & Nikkita Lyons ahead of their match against NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance & Kayden Carter.
– Security Guards, Hank Walker & Quincy Elliot were backstage talking about Stark & Lyon’s segment.
Wes Lee vs. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo.
Lee hit an arm drag, head scissors & a dropkick on Stacks before locking in La Casita on Stacks for a near fall. Stacks punched Lee in the corner before hitting a modified Dragon Screw on Lee in the ropes, followed by a chop-block on Lee’s left leg. Stacks hit a knee breaker on Lee’s left leg before locking in a modified Figure Four on Lee. Lee broke the hold and started laying in the punches on Stacks before hitting a corner uppercut on Stacks. Lee collapsed to his knee before Stacks hit a Rack Neck Breaker on Lee for a near fall. Stacks climbed to the top rope, but Lee tossed Stacks to the mat before hitting a Corkscrew Senton on Stacks for the pinfall win.
Winner: Wes Lee.
– Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes attacked Wes Lee from behind after the match, but Oro Mensah came in to make the save for Lee. Lee hit a Tope Con Giro on Hayes & Williams before Mensah & Lee stood tall in the ring.
– Sonya Deville was backstage before being interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell. Deville said that she was still Rose’s best friend before Deville revealed that she will wait for Fyre in the ring for the following week.
– Roderick Strong met The Creed Brothers in a wheelchair. Strong apologized to The Creed Brothers for bringing Damon Kemp to the faction but said that he was frustrated for not fighting by their side. Strong told Julius Creed that he needed him to win against Kemp.
Kiana James vs. Thea Hail (w/ Andre Chase & Bohdi Hayward).
During the match, Mr. Stone came to the ring to cut a promo saying that the world was laughing at him because The Hail body-slammed him the previous week. Stone said that he would ruin Hail’s night, but Hail hit a back body-drop on Stone before stomping him out of the ring. Hail was taunting Stone, but James caught her with a Flatliner for the pinfall win.
Winner: Kiana James.
– An injured Tony D’Angelo backstage, revealing that he will have a match next week due to losing his match against Wes Lee previously in the night.
– Mr. Stone was confronted by Von Wagner backstage, with Wagner telling him to cut the bullshit and stay locked in to help Wagner become NXT North American Champion.
– Cameron Grimes was interviewed backstage, revealing that he will picking a partner to face The Dyad from WWE.
– Cora Jade said that she was invited by Rhea Ripley to be on Raw.
Grayson Waller vs. Ilja Dragunov.
Waller & Dragunov locked up before Waller leaned Dragunov on the ropes. Waller escaped out of the ring when Dragunov teased a strike. Dragunov got Waller in a guillotine choke before transitioning into a wrist lock, but Waller broke the hold with a knee strike to the head. Waller hit a wrist lock takedown, but Dragunov popped back up and hit a chop and a standing senton on Waller. Dragunov got Waller in a Waist lock before Waller got a rope break and hit a punch on Dragunov’s eyes. Waller hit a Side kick on Dragunov before taunting Booker T. Waller laid in the punches on Dragunov before hitting him with a snap-suplex on Dragunov. Dragunov ran the ropes, but Waller with another Side kick on Dragunov for a near fall. Waller hit knee strikes to Dragunov’s back before locking in a knee-assisted chin lock on Dragunov. Dragunov broke the hold, but Waller hit a back strike on Dragunov before hitting a knee drop on Dragunov for a near fall. Waller locked in a Cravat on Dragunov before hitting knee strikes on Dragunov’s head. Dragunov got a small package on Waller before hitting a slingshot lariat on Waller, followed by two vicious forearm strikes on Waller’s back. Waller hit a punch on Waller, but Dragunov responded with a leaping enziguri followed by a running knee strike. Dragunov hit a pump-handle suplex on Waller. Waller gauged Dragunov’s eye before hitting a kick on Dragunov. Waller hit a rope-walk elbow drop on Dragunov for a near fall. Waller rained down elbow strikes on Dragunov for a near fall. Waller got Dragunov in a Sleeper Hold, but Dragunov leaned Waller into the corner before hitting a series of back elbows on Waller followed by a slingshot lariat on Waller. Waller hit a low dropkick on Dragunov before locking in the sleeper again on Dragunov, but Dragunov tossed him over his shoulder. Waller slammed Dragunov’s neck before getting to the ramp. the wheel began to spinning and got back in the ring, but Dragunov caught Waller with a pop-up German Suplex. Dragunov hit another German Suplex, and a second pump-handle suplex on Waller before hitting the Torpedo Moscow on Waller for the pinfall win.
Winner: Ilja Dragunov.
– After the match, NXT Champion Bron Breakker caught Dragunov with a vicious spear as a receipt from earlier in the night as JD McDonagh clapped from the crowd. The broadcast ended with a creepy close-up to McDonagh’s satisfied face because of the violence, teasing the odds being in his favor for Halloween Havoc.
