Live Coverage.
– The broadcast began with a video package highlighting Cora Jade’s betrayal of Roxanne Perez from the 7/12/2022 edition of NXT 2.0, costing Perez the opportunity to become NXT Women’s Champion against Mandy Rose. Wade Barrett and Vic Joseph welcomed the audience to the show before quickly transitioning to the opening match.
JD McDonagh vs. Cameron Grimes
Grimes got McDonagh tried to get each other in holds before Grimes hit a waist lock takedown and a shoulder tackle. McDonagh and Grimes exchanged kicks before Grimes hit a high kick all over McDonagh’s chest. Grimes hit another kick to McDonagh’s chest in the corner. Grimes launched Irish Ace to the corner with an Irish Whip on the Irish Ace for a near fall. Grimes got McDonagh with a back body-drop. Grimes went for another Irish Whip, but MDonagh landed on the apron. Grimes hit a big boot on McDonagh, sending him to the outside. McDonagh tripped Grimes before hitting a Tornillo Splash on Grimes. McDonagh locked Grimes in a Single-Leg Liontamer before transitioning into an ankle lock. Grimes pushed him with his leg before hitting McDonagh with a cross body. Gacy was seen in the Raven’s Nest to distract Grimes, which led to McDonagh stomping down Grimes. McDonagh hit a Dragon Screw on Grimes. McDonagh got Grimes with a double-handed nerve-hold before booting Grimes’ face to the ground. McDonagh slammed Grimes’ knee on the mat for a near fall. McDonagh hit a suplex on Grimes for a near fall. Grimes hit a running cross body on McDonagh. McDonagh tripped Grimes before hitting back elbows on Grimes’ neck. McDonagh went for a rear-naked choke, but Grimes tossed McDonagh and hit a knee strike and a running kick on The Irish Ace. McDonagh tripped grimes and slammed Grimes’ left knee onto the ring post. McDonagh hit a chop block on Grimes’ injured knee before hitting two DDTs on Grimes’ knee. McDonagh got Grimes in another Single-Leg Liontamer, but Grimes got a rope break. Grimes hit two forearm strikes and a Flipping Uranage. Grimes hit a forearm strike on McDonagh before hitting an enziguri kick. Grimes rained the punches on McDonagh before hitting a super kick. Grimes hit a knee-strike on McDonagh, all while Gacy looked in creepy-awe. Grimes went for a Triangle Kick, but McDonagh slammed Grimes on the apron and rained kicks and stomps on Grimes while his foot was stuck on the ropes. Grimes hit a Saito Suplex for the pinfall win. Gacy looked at Grimes with disappointment.
Winner: JD McDonagh.
– Nikkita Lyons cut a backstage promo ahead of the 20-Woman Battle Royal, saying that she brings the heat and that Mandy Rose will no longer escape from her.
– Tiffany Stratton was offended when cutting a promo backstage, saying that she had to compete in the Battle Royal since she was the only one who deserved it, but stated that she will still win the match.
– NXT Tag Team Champion Cora Jade came to the ring to cut the promo, telling the crowd to shut the hell up. Jade said that she should have betrayed her best friend and fellow Tag champ, Roxanne Perez, sooner, reminding the crowd that she jumped off the cage in the 2021 Women’s War Games match. She slandered the crowd for leaving her behind for Roxanne Perez. The crowd chanted in support of Jade, but Jade told them to go to hell and called Perez a selfish bitch. Jade revealed that she attacked Perez in the parking lot on the 7/12/2022 edition of NXT. She then stated that the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships don’t mean a thing to her before tossing the title in the trash.
– Xyon Quinn was interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell, telling Cora Jade “Good for you”. Quinn revealed that he will face Apollo Crews on the 7/26/2022 edition of NXT 2.0, saying that he (the X-Factor) will be on full display.
– Indi Hartwell detailed her ups and downs in NXT before saying that she would win the battle Royal ahead of her participation
Roderick Strong vs. Damon Kemp.
The two locked up before Strong got Kemp in a wrist lock, but Kemp cartwheeled off the hold before Kemp got Strong in a side headlock. Strong reversed it with a side headlock of his own but got hit with a shoulder tackle by Kemp. Kemp hit a power slam/leg drop combination for a near fall. Kemp hit a Gut wrench suplex on Strong. Strong hit a gut buster on Kemp before hitting multiple chops on Kemp. Strong went for End of Heartache but hit a suplex instead for a near fall. Strong got a modified wrist lock on Kemp before hitting a leaping stomp on Kemp and a kick for a near fall. Strong got Kemp in a rear-naked choke, but Kemp escaped the hold and hit Strong with two lariats, a rolling lariat, a belly-to-belly suplex, a corner spear, and a middle rope spear on Strong for a near fall. Strong hit a big boot before he and Kemp hit each other with double clotheslines. In the Titantron, Tony D’Angelo and The Family attacked The Creed Brothers. Strong took advantage and hit a running knee on Kemp for the pinfall win. He and Kemp ran ou of the ring to hunt down Tony D’Angelo and his gumbas.
Winner: Roderick Strong.
– The team of Brook Jensen and Josh Briggs & Pretty Deadly cut dueling pre-match promos, with Briggs saying that they would give Pretty Deadly a country-flavored ass whooping.
– Brutus Creed and Julius Creed were confronted by Roderick Strong, before slandering Damon Kemp backstage. Strong said that D’Angelo may have started it, but that Diamond Mine were going to end it.
NXT UK Tag Team Championship Match.
Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs (w/ Fallon Henley) (c) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson)
Prince and Jensen began the match, with Prince slapping Jensen. Jensen hit a series of chops and lariats on Prince in the corner before hitting a back-body drop on Prince. Prince and Wilson stomped down Jensen’ hands. Briggs tagged in and both he and Jensen hit dual shoulder tackles before sliding out of the ring to hit forearm strikes on Prince and Wilson. Prince got Briggs in a sleeper hold before attempting a cross body, but Briggs caught him and hit him with a body slam. Briggs clubbed Wilson and tossed Prince to the outside. Prince landed on top of Fallon Henley, knocking her down before the commercial break. Wilson slammed Jensen’s arm to the mat. Prince and Jensen exchanged strikes before Prince and Willson hit a suplex- gut buster on Jensen onto the top rope for a near fall. Wilson and Prince hit a neck-lock stomp on Jensen. Prince got Jensen in a bulldog choke, but Jensen broke the hold with a chin breaker. Prince got Jensen in a guillotine choke before tagging in Wilson. Prince tagged back in and hit a leaping European Uppercut on Jensen for a near fall. Prince got Jensen in a side headlock and attempted a corner splash, but Prince missed and Jensen tagged in Briggs. Briggs hit a big boot n Wilson, a sideslam/ standing splash combination on Prince, and a double-cross body on Wilson. Briggs got a backslide on Wilson for a near fall. Prince got the championship and gave it to Wilson, but was caught by the referee. With an assist of Fallon Henley taking the title away from Wilson, Briggs and Jensen hit a Lariat/Chop-Block version of the High/Low for the pinfall win.

– In a backstage vignette, Joe Gacy revealed that the two members of The Dyad were revealed to be none other than Jagger Reid (formerly known as James Drake) & Rip Fowler (formerly known as Zack Gibson).
– NXT Champion Bron Breakker looked for JD McDonagh in the parking lot before cutting to the commercial break.
– Wes Lee was interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell, saying his vision is now back to 20/20. He then questioned Grayson Waller’s idea that he was the reason he lost the match for the NXT North American Championship. He said that he was coming for Waller first and then he hunt Trick Williams after that.
– NXT World Heavyweight Champion Bron Breakker came to the ring to cut a promo. Breakker said that JD McDonagh was the ace of NXT UK and that he got his attention. McDonagh cut a promo backstage with a mannequin saying that he studied Breakker. McDonagh said that his former opponents were facing him, he was going to dissect him. McDonagh analyzed how the shoulder works before saying he would disable him by tearing the tendon off him. Breakker said that if JD cannot find his balls, how about he takes them off the mannequin. JD McDonagh said that he is the necessary evil of NXT, to which Breakker responded by saying that he will get his injured shoulder and beat McDonagh’s ass with it.
– There was a vignette showing Von Wagner attacking Solo Sikoa. Interestingly, the attack happened on the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida on 7/15/2022, the same day and time SmackDown took place.
– Diamond Mine were interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell and challenged The Family, with Julius Creed saying it’s on sight. Roderick Strong said the strongest family in NXT.
Axiom vs. Dante Chen
Axiom and Chen locked up before Axiom attempted an enziguri kick before Chen evaded. Chen got Axiom in a side headlock, but Axiom reversed it with a wrist lock takedown, an arm drag, and a dropkick on Chen. Axiom got Chen in a back-wrist lock but tossed him out of the ring. Axiom got Chen in a spring-rope roll-up for a near fall. Chen hit a tilt-to-world back breaker on Axiom for a near fall. Axiom got Chen with a Tornado DDT. Axiom hit a Pele Kick and a rope guillotine on Chen. Axiom hit a cross body on Chen before hitting a leaping Super kick on Chen for the pinfall win.
Winner: Axiom.
– Lash Legend cut a promo backstage ahead of her participation on the 20-Woman Battle Royal, saying that one messes with the one and only Lash Legend.
– After a random woman asked Givanni Vinci for a selfie, he was interrupted by Chase University. They invited hm to a school meeting, but he denied the offer.
– NXT North American Champion Carmello Hayes and Trick Williams were at the Barbershop to discuss the Mello-bration and addressed the North American Championship division, mentioning Giovanni Vinci, Apollo Crews, Solo Sikoa, Wes Lee, and Von Wagner. Williams said that he will be watching Grayson Waller vs. Wes Lee closely on the 7/26/2022 edition of NXT.
– NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose & Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin) were interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell, saying that she predicts Tatum Paxley winning the championship. Kiana James, Ivy Nile and Alba Fyre interrupted the interview, with Fyre saying that she would burn Rose’s title reign to the ground.
– Cameron Grimes was interviewed by a random interview, but he shouted the interviewer “NOT NOW!”. Joe Gacy confronted Grimes said that he knows what he is going through, but Grimes remarked that not now before walking out of the building.
– Before the Women’s Battle Royal, Tony D’Angelo said that Diamond Mine annot beat up The Family because they cannot fight in the streets. D’Angelo accepted Diamond Mine’s challenge.
20-Woman Battle Royal
Prior to the match, Zoey Stark made her return to NXT to enter the 20-Woman Battle Royal. The match began with Nile chasing down Jade through the ramp. Wendy Choo laid down in the apron with her Slurpee to prevent being eliminated from the match. Nile hit a leaping enziguri on Amari Miller, eliminating her from the match. Indi Hartwell eliminated Arianna Grace out of the match with a big boot. Alba Fyre and Lash Legend eliminated each other out of the match after Fyre hit Tijeras to the outside of the ring. Wendy Choo was tripped by Stratton, but Choo landed on the pillow and remained in the match. Zoey Stark tossed Yulisa Leon out of the ring, eliminating her from the match. Stark tossed Valentina Feroz to the outside of the ring, but Feroz landed on Leon. Stark hit a super kick on Leon to eliminate Feroz. Kiana James hit a big boot on Fallon Henley to eliminate her from the match. Tiffany Stratton hit Choo with a Yeti Cup to eliminate her form the match. Katana Chane and Kayden Carter worked together to eliminate Sloane Jacobs from the match. They tossed Elektra Lopez out of the ring, eliminating her from the match. Chance and Carter eliminated Nile, but Nile eliminated Chance. Lyons hit a pounce on Carter, eliminating her from the match. Carter and Chance attacked Nile, which led to Tatum Paxley eliminating herself by hitting a cross body on Carter. Stratton lowered the rope to eliminate Indi Hartwell from the match. Lyons hit a big boot on Stark, a leaping forearm on James, a hip attack on Stratton, a belly-to-belly suplex on Stark, a spinning heel kick on Stratton, and a pump kick on Kiana James before eliminating James from the match. Stratton got from behind and eliminated Lyons from the match. Stark hit a lariat on Stratton, but she remained in the match. Stratton hit a Missile Dropkick and was hit with a half-and-half suplex on Stratton. Starks eliminated Stratton with a Belly-to-Back GTS/ Forearm Strike combination. Cora Jade came back to the match to attack a distracted Zoey Stark, but Stark tossed Jade out of the ring to eliminate her and win the match. The show ended with Zoey Stark rejoicing in triumph.
Winner: Zoey Stark.
