– Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T welcomed the audience to the broadcast before quickly transitioning to the opening match. 

JD McDonagh vs. Julius Creed (w/ Brutus Creed).

The two locked up to begin the match before exchanging holds. The two locked up again before McDonagh got a side headlock on Creed before Creed reversed it with the leg scissors. After the two exchanged slaps, Julius got a headlock before hitting a shoulder tackle, a hip toss, and a headlock takedown, but McDonagh reversed it with an inverted wrist lock before Julius leaped into a Mexican Arm drag to break the hold. McDonagh sent Julius to the outside before going for the PK Kick, but Julius caught the foot and slammed JD onto the broadcast table. JD hit Julius’s face to the ring post before hitting him repeatedly onto the post on the outside. Back in the ring, McDonagh targeted his offense onto Julius Creed’s left arm before locking in a hammerlock and hitting a knee drop on Julius’s arm. JD hit a wrist lock takedown on Julius before slamming Julius’s face onto the turnbuckle. JD laid Julius onto the mat and locked them in a hammerlock before hitting a knee drop on Julius’s face. McDonagh hit a hip toss on Julius before locking in a hold on Julius’ arm, specifically targeting Julius’ elbow, but Julius powered through and hit a back suplex on McDonagh to break the hold. JD went for a diving cross body, but Julius reversed it with a Roderick Strong-like back-breaker on JD. JD went for a sunset flip, but Julius evaded before hitting a leaping knee strike on JD, but JD responded by hitting a Spanish Fly on Julius. JD hit a series of palm strikes on Julius, but Julius responded with a forearm strike & a German Suplex, but JD rolled through and hit an enziguri kick before connecting a Brainbuster on Julius for a near fall. McDonagh claimed to the top rope, but Julius leaped onto the top rope before McDonagh dropped him with a headbutt and attempted a top-rope moonsault, but Julius evaded and hit the flipping slam into the Unnecessary Clothesline on McDonagh for the pinfall win. 

Winner: Julius Creed (w/ Brutus Creed).

– Indus Sher (Sanga & Veer Mahan) came to the ring to confront Julius & Brutus after the match, with Sanga laying the challenge for New Year’s Evil on 1/10/2022. 

– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo ahead of D’Angelo’s match against Wes lee for the North American Championship. D’Angelo said he looks forward to being champion to end the year while Stacks said that Dijak was dealt with. 

– The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid & Ava Raine) were in a vignette reflecting on their run in 2022 and criticized Edris Enofe, Malik Blade & Odyssey Jones for falling under “false happiness”, telling them that they would show them how together The Schism is to one another. 

Wendy Choo vs. Cora Jade. 

The two exchanged strikes before Choo hit an overhead arm drag on Jade. Choo chased down Jade before the two got back in the ring, but Jade rolled out of the ring immediately before slamming Choo onto the mat. Jade got her bat and swung at Choo, but Choo evaded and slammed Jade’s face onto the apron Back in the ring, Choo got a roll-up on Jade before hitting a single-leg dropkick on Jade. Choo went for a boot kick to the corner, but Jade reversed it with a backbreaker before hitting a springboard double-foot stomp on Choo’s back for a near fall. Jade placed Choo on the middle rope and hit a back-elbow on Choo & an elbow drop on Choo for a near fall. Jade locked in a half-hammerlock on Choo before Choo evaded and hit two forearm strikes and ran the ropes, but Jade did a side-step and hit an elevated knee on Choo for a near fall. Jade got a full nelson on Choo before going for another elevated knee, but Choo caught her and hit a Liger Bomb on Jade for a near fall. The two exchanged strikes before Choo hit a lariat, a belly-to-belly suplex, a cartwheel corner splash, and a diving cross-body on Jade for a near fall. Jade hit a Full-Nelson Flatliner on Choo for a near fall before shouting to the mat. Jade stomped away at Choo, but Choo got an inside cradle on Jade for a near fall. Choo slammed Jade onto the turnbuckle before hitting a Full-Nelson Uranage into a Vader Bomb on Jade for the pinfall win. 

Winner: Wendy Choo.

– Ikemen Jiro cut a promo ahead of his match against Scrypts, saying that he would take back his smile when he retrieves the jacket from Scrypts. 

– Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs were backstage with Fallon Henley ahead of her match against Kiana James, with Jensen telling Briggs he was on “her” side, which bamboozled Henley before she made sure Jensen was referring to her and not James

Ikemen Jiro vs. Scrypts.

Scrypts leaped into the ring before the match began, Scrypts began by hitting a shotgun dropkick on Scrypts, but Jiro tossed Scrypts to the outside before hitting a gorgeous Tope Con Giro on Scrypts. Jiro & Scrypts got back in the ring before Jiro laid in the strikes and went for a sunset flip, but Scrypts did a back flip into a shotgun dropkick on Jiro. Scrypts stomped away at Jiro before tripping him and hitting a basement dropkick for a near fall on Jiro. Scrypts locked in the head scissors on Jiro before locking in a modified camel clutch, but Jiro got up and laid in the slaps before hitting a backdrop on Scrypts. Jiro hit Seven Shotes before hitting a knee strike on Scrypts for a near fall. Jiro went for a DVD, but Scrypts evaded and hit a spinning Crossbody and went for a running Shooting Star, but Jiro evaded and placed Scrypts on the top rope. Jiro went for a superplex on Scrypts, but Scrypts pushed Jiro out of the corner, but Jiro landed on his feet before Scrypts responded by hitting a Flipping Senton on Jiro for the pinfall win. Scrypts slammed Jiro’s jacket over him. 

Winner: Scrypts. 

– There was a video vignette of Oro Mensah being in the club, saying that he wants to bring the vibes to NXT. 

– There was a vignette of Alba Fyre calling out Isla Dawn to an end to their feud. 

Layra Valkyria vs. Lash Legend. 

Legend hit a knee drop on Valkyria before hitting a spinning face slam on followed by a corner splash and an elbow drop on Valkyria for a near fall Legend got Valkyria up, but Valkyria hit a series of shin kicks, two shoulder tackles, and a wheelbarrow arm drag before sending Legend to the outside. Valkyria hit a sliding dropkick on Legend, but Legend responded by slamming Valkyria into the apron before hitting a wicked chop, to which Valkyria reacted by mouthing “FUCK”. Back in the ring, Legend got a lateral press on Valkyria for a near fall before hitting a Uranage backbreaker. Legend went for a double-back-flip moonsault on Valkyria, but Valkyria responded with two kicks, two lariats, and a tornado DDT on Legend followed by a Spinning Roundhouse Kick on Legend. Valkyria hit the exclamation point by hitting a Frog Splash on Legend for the pinfall win. 

Winner: Layra Valkyria. 

– Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) cut a promo backstage saying that Roxanne Perez’s title win was the reason for their downfall. Dolin & Jayne promised that they would rebuild their empire, targeting NXT Women’s Champion as their first target. 

– McKenzie Mitchell interviewed NXT Champion Bron Breakker because he wanted to call out Grayson Waller, but Waller left a video message saying that he was back in Australia for the Holidays. 

Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) (w/ Ava Raine) vs. Edris Enofe, Malik Blade & Odyssey Jones. 

Gacy & Blade began the matching locking before Gacy did a drop toe-hold on Blade. Blade got a Wheelbarrow Victory Roll on Gacy for a near fall, but Gacy slammed Blade into the corner before tagging Jagger Reid, but Blade flipped under Reid and hit a dropkick on Reid. The blade hit a pump kick before Enofe tagged in and hit a diving lariat on Reid. Fowler tagged in and hit a vicious short-hand lariat on Enofe followed by a snap-suplex for a near fall. Fowler got a chin lock on Enofe before hitting a forearm strike to Enofe’s liver. Enofe leaped over Fowler and hit a dropkick on Fowler. Enofe got a headlock on Fowler before Jones tagged in and hit a Pounce, a cannonball, and a body slam, and assisted Blade with a Frog Splash off Jones’ shoulder before the six men squared down before the commercial break. After the break, Fowler got Blade in a headlock before tagging in Jagger Reid, but Blade gave out punches on everyone before tagging in Jones. Jones fired away with punches and lariats before hitting cornerback elbows on Reid & Fowler and connecting a double side slam on Reid & Fowler. Enofe hit a diving elbow drop on Reid, but Gacy broke the count at two. Gacy & Fowler pulled Jones out of the ring before the three took turns in hitting Tpe Suicidas on Jones, but Blade hit a cannonball on Fowler & Gacy. Back in the ring, ENofe went for a deadlift suplex on Reid, but Gacy got Enofe on his shoulders as Fowler got Blade before hitting a double Doomsday Device on Blade & Enofe. Reid & James hit a double codebreaker on Enofe before Gacy hit the rebound back-flip lariat on Enofe for the pinfall win. 

Winners: Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) (w/ Ava Raine).

– Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams were interviewed ahead of their singles matches against Apollo Crews & Axiom respectively. Hayes said that he admires Crews’ accolades, but he emphasized the NXT Title one name and it was Carmelo Hayes. 

Battle For The Bar.

Fallon Henley (w/ Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs) vs. Kiana James.

The battle for the bar began with James hitting a knee strike on Henley before hitting two wrist lock takedowns on Henley, but Henley responded by getting another wrist lock takedown. James hit a back elbow on James followed by a shoulder tackle, and a single-leg dropkick on James. Henley slid to the outside and went for a forearm strike, but James pulled the apron to cover her, but Henley hit another forearm strike on James. Back in the ring, James slammed Henley into the mat before hitting two corner spears and a back-flip into a corner spear on Henley for a near fall. James slammed Henley to the corner before stomping away at Henley in the corner before hitting a Fireman’s Carry facebuster on Henley for a near fall. James locked in the body scissors on Henley before turning it into a pin for a near fall. James maintained the hold until Henley reversed it into a pin for a near fall. James & Henley exchanged forearm strikes Henley hit a vicious overhead chop, a lariat, a corner back elbow, and a face slam on James for a near fall. James hit a side backbreaker on Henley for a near fall. James went for a running forearm, but Henley tripped James before hitting a Shinning Wizard on James for the pinfall win & gaining the rights to her parent’s bar. 

Winner: Fallon Henley (w/ Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs).

– NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez was interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell and while she admitted that she did not want to wake up from her dream, she said that she needed to keep her head on a swivel and said that she would do anything she can to represent the legacy of the NXT Women’s Championship. 

– Isla Dawn did a vignette backstage in response to Alba Fyre’s challenge from earlier in the night, with Isla Dawn saying that their match would be an end for Fyre. 

– Drew Gulak hosted the “Drew Gulak Invitational” Seminar with Hank Waler & three other wrestlers. Gulak taught a wrestler called “Luka” the Chicken Wing, which bamboozled him with Gulak emphasizing that he had to release the hold as soon as a wrestler tapped. Gulak locked up with another wrestler with Amateur experience, with Gulak teaching how to do a Cross-leg Heel Hook. Gulak called Miles Bourne from LVL Up on exchanging holds before Bourne did a Fireman’s Carry Takedown on Gulak, but Gulak responded y locking in the Dragon Sleeper after Bourne tapped out repeatedly. Walker took mental notes from this, but Charlie Dempsey confronted Gulak afterward. Dempsey challenged Walker to a match for next week. 

NXT North American Championship Match.

Wes Lee (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo (w/ Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo).

The main event of the evening began with the two locking up before D’Angelo slammed Lee into the mat. The two locked up again and D’Angelo repeated the dose and slammed Lee onto the ma, but Lee hit a series of body shots before D’Angelo hit a Belly-to-Belly Suplex & a German Suplex on Lee for a near fall. D’Angelo got a waist lock on Lee and went for another German Suplex, but Lee landed on his feet and hit a dropkick & the Tijeras on D’Angelo into the top rope. Lee hit a corner uppercut on D’Angelo before laying in the body shots on D’Angelo before D’Angelo slid out of the ring.  Lee got a Guillotine Choke on D’Angelo cinched in deep on the hold, but D’Angelo got Lee in the corner and laid in the body shots & corner spears on Lee to finally break the hold before slamming Lee into the corner with an Irish Whip. D’Angelo went for a Helluva Kick, but lee evaded and started targeting D’Angelo’s left leg before hitting a Buzzsaw Kick to send D’Angelo to the outside. Lee hit a Tope Suicida from under the middle rope on D’Angelo to the outside. Back in the ring, Lee locked in another Guillotine Choke on D’Angelo for an extensive period of time before D’Angelo broke the hold by hitting a Snap-suplex on Lee for a near fall, but Lee responded by locking in a headlock on D’Angelo before flipping over Lee & locking in another headlock on D’Angelo. After D’Angelo broke the hold, Lee laid in the kicks before D’Angelo hit an Exploder Suplex on Lee. D’Angelo stomped away at Lee before laying in the punches on Lee and hitting a backbreaker on Lee with a bridge for a near fall. D’Angelo hit a short-arm lariat & an elbow drop on Lee for a near fall. D’Angelo hit an elbow drop on Lee’s leg before locking in a leg lock on Lee, with the hold hyper-extending the knee of Lee. ee hit a forearm strike on D’Angelo to break the hold, but D’Angelo hit a knee breaker on Lee into his knee. Outside of the ring, D’Angelo hit a facebuster on Lee onto the broadcast table. Back in the ring, D’Angelo got a single-leg hook on Lee for a near fall. D’Angelo went for a Fisherman’s Suplex, but Lee reversed the move with a DDT. The two got back up as Lee hit dropkicks on D’Angelo’s left shin before laying in the body shots on D’Angelo, a lariat, a back elbow, more strikes, and a forearm strike on D’Angelo Lee laid in the body shots on D’Angelo, but D’Angelo caught Lee and hit a powerbomb on Lee. D’Angelo climbed to the top rope as Stacks cheered on, but Dijak came from out of nowhere and kidnapped Stacks. Lee hit an enziguri kick to drop D’Angelo from the top rope before hitting a back flip Pele Kick on D’Angelo for the pinfall win & title retention. Wes Lee stood tall to end the final NXT broadcast for 2022.
