WWE NXT (12/19/2023) Results: Dragon Lee Defends Title, Tiffany Stratton, Gallus, Lexis King, More

Results for the 12/19/2023 edition of NXT.

On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, WWE hosted a new episode of NXT on the USA Network.

The show was headlined by Dragon Lee defending his NXT North American Championship against any No Quarter Catch Club member. The full results are listed below.

  • Booker T. & Vic Joseph welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening contest.
  • Fallon Henley def. Tiffany Stratton.
    • Stratton attacked Henley after the match. The two wrestlers headed backstage before Stratton tossed a trash can onto Henley. 
  • Carmelo Hayes spoke with Trick Williams, and he apologized for accidentally attacking Williams with the title. Hayes proposed a Triple Threat for a shot at Dragunov’s title, but Williams said he wanted to do it alone, but did ask Hayes to train him for the match. 
  • NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov came to the ring to cut a promo, where he said that he did not have to be involved in a “Who done it?” situation with Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams but did incision throwing himself into the fire to be champion.
    Ridge Holland came to the ring from the crowd, where he said that he was back in NXT to rewrite his story. Holland said that he was back in NXT to find himself & prove he was Main Event level, saying that he wanted a shot at Dragunov’s title. Drragunov accepted Holland’s challenge to a match tonight. 
  • Lexis King cut a promo, where he called himself the breakout star of the year and was here to win the Men’s Breakout Tournament. 
  • Trick Williams confronted Ilja Dragunov backstage asking him why he accepted Holland’s challenge, but Dragunov told Williams to stay in his lane as a challenger. Williams agreed to do so but did say that he would win the title at NXT New Year’s Evil. 
  • NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament – 1st Round Match: Lexis King def. Dion Lennox.
    • Trey Bearhill came to attack Lexis King, but King ran out of the ring.
  • Eddy Thorpe had a vignette, where he challenged DIJAK to an NXT Underground Match. 
  • Kiana James & Izzi Dame def. Thea Hail & Jacy Jayne.
  • Arianna Grace was watching the match backstage with the rest of the NXT Women’s Roster before Roxanne Perez. Grace told Perez that it was not about wins & losses, but about sportsmanship. Perez responded to that answer with a vicious slap on Grace, leaving Grace crying about her face. 
  • Andre Chase & Duke Hudson played dice backstage with OTM (Lucien Price, Bronco Nima & SCRYPTS) before Price & Nima challenged Hudson & Chase to a match, where the winner would challenge for the NXT Tag Titles & take Chase’s money. Angela Rizzo appeared and accepted their challenge. 
  • Before the match between Dragon Lee & a member of the no Quarter Catch Club, Joe Coffey interrupted and demanded Dragon Lee a shot. Dragon Lee said that he would face both Joe Coffey & Charlie Dempsey.
  • NXT North American Championship – Reto Universal: Dragon Lee (c) def. Charlie Dempsey (w/ Drew Gulak, Damon Kemp & Myles Borne) & Joe Coffey (w/ Wolfgang & Mark Coffey).
    • Joe Gacy appeared from under the ring and pulled Coffey under the ring. This allowed Lee & Dempsey to fight it off before Lee hit the Destino DDT for the win.
    • No Quarter Catch Crew attacked Lee after the match, but the LWO’s Cruz del Toro & Joaquin Wilde made the save for Lee. 
  • Trick Williams vented to Carmelo Hayes backstage, saying Dragunov was out of his mind for accepting Ridge Holland’s challenge.
  • Cora Jade came into the Women’s Locker Room and took Karmen Petrovic’s locker. Gigi Dolin told Petrovic that there was only one way to deal with Cora Jade. 
  • NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament – 1st Round Match: Tavion Heights def. Luca Crusifino.
  • There was a video package talking about Blair Davenport & NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria ahead of their match on NXT New Year’s Evil. 
  • Lyra Valkyria spoke backstage with Nikki Lyons. They were confused with Tatum Paxley’s antics and promised to take care of her, but Lyons said that she also had her eyes on the Women’s Title. 
  • Meta-Four (Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) were interviewed by Kelly Kincaid, where Dar accepted Josh Briggs’s challenge for the NXT Heritage Cup since he was in a festive mood. 
  • Nikkita Lyons def. Tatum Paxley.
  • Hank Walker & Tank Ledger hyped each other backstage ahead of their match against Gallus. 
  • Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen spoke backstage. Henley threw a tantrum on Tiffany Stratton, where she said that Stratton was always handed everything and was going to take her out. Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen spoke about Briggs challenging Noam Dar for the NXT Heritage Cup, where Briggs told Jensen that he needed to ride solo in his title match next week.
  • Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) (w/ Joe Coffey) def. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger.
    • Joe Gacy watched the match from the crowd.
  • DIJAK had a vignette backstage, where he asked Eddy Thorpe why he would dare challenge him to an NXT Underground match with his broken ribs. DIJAK accepted Thorpe’s challenge, where he promised it would be Thorpe’s last match ever.
  • Tiffany Stratton cut a promo backstage, where she said that Fallon Henley deserved to be a servant to society. Stratton said that Henley would never be her & that she would always be trash. Stratton challenged Henley to a match at New Year’s Evil, with the stipulation being that if Stratton won Henley would become her servant. 
  • Ilja Dragunov vs. Ridge Holland ended in a No Contest.
    • The finish came when Dragunov went for a DDT on Holland but Holland spiked Dragunov with a Modified Brainbuster. Multiple Referees & producers carried Dragunov on a stretcher to end the broadcast.
