– After a video recap of the proceedings of NXT New Year’s Evil (full results for the show here), Vic Joseph & Booker T welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning to the opening match.
Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams vs. Apollo Crews & Axiom.
The match began with Axiom & Williams locking up before Axiom rolled under Williams. The two locked up again before exchanging wrist locks, to which Axiom responded by hitting a dropkick on Williams. Williams leaned Axiom in the ropes before slamming him with a shoulder tackle followed by a deadweight shoulder tackle & a pop-up jab on Axiom. Hayes tagged in, but Axiom did an arm drag/ Tijeras combo on Williams & Hayes. Axiom hit an arm drag and a dropkick before tagging in Crews. Crews & Hayes evaded each other’s offense before Crews hit dropkicks on Williams & Hayes followed by a double suplex on Hayes & Williams. Hayes got up and hit a pump kick followed by La Mistica on Crews for a near fall. Axiom came to the ring and sent Williams & Hayes to the outside. Crews got Axiom in a Gorilla Press and tossed him onto Hayes & Williams on the outside. Back in the ring, Axiom got Hayes in a front-Ankle Lock before stomping at Hayes’s wrist. Hayes broke the hold before he & Williams double-teamed Axiom. Williams hit a lariat on Axiom followed by a scoop-body slam for a near fall. Hayes tagged in and hit a modified T-Bone Suplex on Axiom, but Axiom got Hayes in a Guillotine before Crews tagged in. Crews & Axiom hit consecutive basement shotgun dropkicks on Hayes for a near fall, to which Crews responded by locking in a headlock on Hayes. Crews transitioned the hold into a Guillotine, but Hayes reversed it with a Hammerlock before Crews got a wrist lock on Hayes. Axiom tagged in and hit a double axe handle on Hayes for a near fall. Axiom got Hayes in a Guillotine before transitioning into an Inside Cradle for a near fall. Hayes & Axiom hit each other with lariats before Hayes got a waist lock on Axiom. Crews & Williams came to the ring, but Crews & Axiom hit two stereo German Suplexes before Hayes booted Crews with Axiom’s foot. Hayes & Williams hit an assisted Springboard Lariat on Axiom for a near fall. Williams tagged in and stomped away at Axiom before Hayes tagged in and got Axiom in a chin-lock. Hayes went for a Hammer throw on Axiom, but Axiom hit a dropkick on Williams before tagging in Crews. Crews came in with the hot tag before hitting a lariat, a diving lariat, two corner splashes, an enziguri kick, a Gorilla press Drop & a Standing Moonsault on Hayes for a near fall. Axiom hit the Golden Ratio on Williams on the outside while Hayes went for the Top Rope Leg Drop on Crews, but Crews reversed it with a pin for the win.
Winner: Apollo Crews & Axiom.
– Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo in the bridge they tossed Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan. Lorenzo teased being tossed to the river, but D’Angelo promoted Lorenzo to the boss of the family and awarded him with a jacket of the “family crest”.
– Tiffany Stratton was interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell, showing a video of Indi Hartwell stealing Stratton’s locker room for the NXT Locker Room. Stratton hooted & hollered and promised that she would show there was only one superstar in the NXT Women’s Division.
– Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne came to the ring to cut a promo after they were declared the #1 Contenders for the NXT Women’s Championship for NXT Vengeance Day. They promised that they would make NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez regret winning the title, but Lyra Valkyria interrupted the two and said that she did not see a champion between the two. Dolin & Jayne attacked Valkyria before Roxanne Perez came to the ring to make the save for Valkyria.
– Julius Creed & Brutus Creed were aggressively training to aim a bullseye at Jinder Mahal, but Ivy Nile (w/ Tatum Paxley) ran down on The Creed Brothers for losing their focus and told them to grow a set and go back to being the Creed Brothers of old.
– Stevie Turner reacted to the 20-Woman Battle Royale from NXT New Year’s Evil, but promised that her debut was coming soon.
Sol Ruca vs. Alba Fyre.
The match began with the two locking up before Fyre hit a waist lock takedown on Ruca. Ruca rolled over and did a flip to evade a wrist lock before leaping over Fyre and hitting a diving cross-body off the middle rope on Fyre for a near fall. Ruca got a backslide on Fyre for a near fall. The two shook hands before Ruca hit an up kick and a face slam on Fyre for a near fall. Fyre dropped Ruca and hit a series of stomps Ruca before hitting a facebuster on Ruca. Fyre hit a series of chest kicks on Ruca before going for a Gory STand into a chop. Fyre tried to leap over Ruca, but Ruca caught her before Fyre rolled over and hit a thrust kick on Ruca. Fyre was distracted by Isla Dawn on the Raven’s Nest, but Ruca caught her with Sol Snatcher on Fyre for the shocking pinfall win.
Winner: Sol Ruca
– Dijak cut a promo in a vignette saying that beating NXT North American Champion Wes Lee would bring him what he was missing, which is Championship gold. Dijak promised that NXT Vengeance Day would be his Judgement Day.
– Grayson Waller was in a sit-down interview with Vic Joseph reliving Waller’s match against Bron Breakker from New Year’s Evil. Waller said that despite the count-out loss, he did not feel like a loser and said that he brought his own championship because he felt like a champion after their match. Waller promised that he would finally become NXT Champion and be the decisive winner.
– Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) made their way to the ring ahead of their match to say they would send a message to the NXT Division. The promo then cut to Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen (w/ Fallon Henley) who promised to bring hell to Gallus in their match.
– Alba Fyre attacked a referee backstage before NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Kayden Carter & Katan Chance confronted her & stopped her. They told her to chill and aim for some focus, but Fyre responded by saying that she may aim for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles by herself.
– There was a video vignette of Tyler Bate ahead of his NXT return later in the night, with Bate promising that he would be staying in NXT permanently.
Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen (w/ Fallon Henley) vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang).
The four fighters brawled to begin the match, with Coffey & Briggs fighting on the outside while Wolfgang & Jensen exchanged blows in the ring. Coffey tagged in and laid in a knee strike on Jensen before Briggs tagged in. Jensen & Briggs hit double shoulder tackles on Coffey for a near fall. Coffey hit a back elbow on Jensen before Wolfgang tagged in. Wolfgang got a headlock on Jensen before Coffey tagged in and hit a punch on Jensen. Briggs tagged in and hit a corner splash and a big boot on Wolfgang. Coffey pulled Briggs out of the ring and slammed him with a back suplex on Briggs onto the apron. Coffey & Wolfgang dismantled the ramp before Briggs hit a suplex on Coffey onto the floor. Back in the ring, Coffey hit a knee drop on Briggs before Wolfgang tagged in and hit a stomp on Briggs for a near fall. Coffey tagged back in and laid in the strikes on Briggs’s back before locking in a Guillotine Choke on Briggs and tossing him into the ropes to hit a back elbow on Briggs for a near fall. Coffey locked in another Guillotine Choke on Briggs, but Briggs broke the hold with a back-drop before tagging in Jensen. Jensen hit two lariats & a leg lariat on Coffey before going for a suplex on Coffey, but Jensen’s leg gave out before Gallus took down Jensen before Wolfgang hit a side-senton on Jensen for a near fall. Wolfgang slammed Jensen into the ring post before Coffey hit a forearm strike on Jensen on the outside. Coffey & Wolfgang continued to double-team Jensen in their corner before Jensen evaded Coffey and tagged in Briggs. Briggs laid in punches on Wolfgang & Coffey before sending them outside. Briggs hit a diving shoulder tackle on Coffey on the apron, but Wolfgang reacted by hitting a back-drop on Jensen onto the exposed ramp. Briggs hit a sidelsam and a standing splash on Briggs inside the ring but was distracted by Jensen being attended by the medical team. Kiana James came to motivate Jensen, but Coffey & Briggs exchanged strikes before Coffey hit a double chop on Briggs. Coffey & Wolfgang hit an enziguri kick/ Powerslam combo on Briggs for the decisive pinfall win.
Winners: Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang).
– Duke Hudson hyped up Thea Hail backstage, but they were interrupted by Andre Chase. Chase showed a video of Hudson being worried about Chase University’s win-loss record, but Hail begged them to focus on this for a later time ahead of her match.
– Fallon Henley confronted Brooks Jensen for Kiana James coming to Jensen’s aid, but Jensen told Henley that she had to deal with her.
Valentina Feroz vs. Thea Hail (w/ Duke Hudson & Andre Chase).
The match began with the two locking up before Feroz got a headlock on Hail. Hail broke the hold before the two locked up again, but Feroz got an aim at Hail’s arm before the two exchanged pins with one another. Feroz hti a Brazilian Arm drag followed by a basement dropkick on Hail for a near fall. Elektra Lopez joined ringside to watch Feroz watch the match. Hail went for a crucifix, but Feroz reversed it with a sit-down pin for a near fall. Hail hit an enziguri & a standing moonsault on Feroz for three near falls. Feroz hit a knee strike on Hail’s abdomen before the two hit crossbody splashes on one another. Hudson tried to confront Lopez, but Chase distracted Hudson and the referee. Lopez gave Feroz the brass knuckles, but Feroz gave the knucks to the referee. Hail saw this and hit a snap-mare DDT on Feroz for the pinfall win.
Winner: Thea Hail (w/ Duke Hudson & Andre Chase).
– Vic Joseph & Booker T informed the crowd that former ROH Tag Team & World Heavyweight Champion Jay Briscoe had passed away. From Fightful, we send our deepest condolences to his fans, friends & family.
– Valentina Feroz was confronted by Elektra Lopez. Lopez told that Feroz should stand on her own and to watch her match against Wendy Choo next week.
– NXT Tag Team Champions New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) came to the ring to cut a promo. They were dressed up because they revealed that they were done with Pretty Deadly, but revealed that they would be facing Gallus for the NXT Tag Titles. Pretty Deadly (Elton prince & Kit Wilson) interrupted them and asked if they thought it was funny, but Woods & Kingston stated that they found it hilarious. Pretty Deadly declared themselves the rightful challengers for the title, but Gallus (Wolfgang & Mark Coffey) stated that Pretty Deadly did not deserve a shot at the title & state that New Day was next. Woods did not understand a word they said before Pretty Deadly attacked both teams. Gallus & New Day laid out Pretty Deadly before the two teams brawled in the ring
– NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez & Lyra Valkyria were interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell, but Javier Bernal interrupted the interview. Bernal asked Perez & Valkyria if they wanted to play a song, but Valkyria told Bernal to get out.
– NXT Champion Bron Breakker was in a sit-down interview with Vic Joseph backstage recalling his experience in the match against Grayson Waller from New Year’s Evil, with Breakker saying that the ending left a bad taste in his mouth. Breakker stated that despite the doubt from New Year’s Evil, all questions will be resolved in his Steel Cage Rematch against Waller on NXT Vengeance Day.
– Javier Bernal was in the ring to sing a song for “Feliz Javidad”, but was interrupted by none other than former NXT United Kindom Champion & NXT Tag Team Champion Tyler Bate ahead of their match.
Tyler Bate vs. Javier Bernal.
Bate tickled Bernal in the corner before getting a Schoolboy on Bernal for a near fall. Bernal got a headlock on Bate, but Bate broke the hold and hit a dropkick and an arm drag on Bernal. Bernal gauged Bate’s eyes before hitting a Bulldog into a lariat on Bate for a near fall. Bernal hit a series of punches on Bate, but Bate responded with three uppercuts before launching Bernal across the ring and hitting a back elbow, a punch, and a diving uppercut on Bernal. Bate hit a diving lariat, a T-Bone suplex, a standing shooting star press, two Bops & Bangs, a rebound Lariat, and a Spike-Piledriver variant of the Tyler Driver on Bernal for the pinfall win.
Winner: Tyler Bate.
– Fallon Henley apologized to Brooks Jensen backstage after her incident earlier in the night before revealing that she would team with Kiana James next week.
Lyra Valkyria & Roxanne Perez vs. Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne.
Jayne & Prez began the match, with Perez hitting a series fo forearm strikes on Jayne to send her to the outside. Perez hit a tope Suicida on Jayne on the outside before Valkyria hit a sliding dropkick on Dolin. Valkyria tagged in and hit knee drops and an uppercut on Jayne. Perez tagged in a nd hit a Wheelbarrow roll-through into a shotgun dropkick on Jayne for a near fall. Perez got a Guillotine on Jayne before Valkyria hit a double stomp on Jayne’s arm. Dolin tagged in, but Valkyria caught her and hit a hip toss for a near fall. Valkyria got a cravat on Dolin before Perez hit an uppercut on Dolin for a near fall. Perez went for an O’Connor Roll on Dolin, but Jayne responded with a neck breaker on Perez. Dolin hit a Bronco Buster on Perez before Jayne hit a Senton on the corner on Perez. Dolin hit the quick kicks on Perez’s head before Jayne tagged in and got a near fall on Perez. Dolin hit an STO on Perez for a near fall. Jayne tagged in and hit a forearm strike on Valkyria before hitting a back elbow on Perez. Perez evaded Jayne and hit a facebuster on Jayne before Dolin & Valkyria tagged in. Valkyria hit a series of kicks on Dolin before hitting an Enziguri kick on Jayne & a T-Bone Suplex on Dolin. Valkyria went for a Splash, but Jade pushed Valkyria onto the mat. Valkyria tagged Perez in, who hit a Thesz Press on Jayne while Valkyria hit a crossbody on Jade. Perez hit an uppercut on Jayne, but Dolin hit a Thrust Kick on Perez. Jayne & Dolin went for the Hi-Low, but Jayne caught Dolin with a roundhouse kick by accident. Perez hit a Russian Leg Sweep before hitting Pop Rox on Dolin for the pinfall win. Perez stood tall in the ramp while Dolin & Jyane argued to end the broadcast.
Winners: Lyra Valkyria & Roxanne Perez.
