WWE Hall Of Famer Jimmy Snuka Has Passed Away — Rock And Tamina Tweet

WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka has passed away at the age of 73.

Snuka was an integral figure in the WWE, often remembered for his signature Superfly Splash and his cage dives at Madison Square Garden. He would later become an ECW Champion before being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996.

Nicknamed "Superfly," Snuka, he would remain active in professional wrestling throughout the 90s and 2000s, making appearances at WWF Survivor Series 1996, WCW Nitro in January 2000, TNA in October 2003, WWE Taboo Tuesday in November 2005, WWE Vegeance in 2007, the 2008 Royal Rumble, and WrestleMania in 2009.

Snuka has been in the news in recent years, as the 1983 death of Nancy Argentino was reinvestigated. Snuka would plead not guilty before being found unfit to stand trial as he was diagnosed with dementia. Argentino's parents won a $500,000 default judgment in 1985 against Snuka, who has had varying stories as to how the death occurred. Snuka's WWE Legends contract was suspended in September 2015 due to the situation.

Current WWE Superstar Tamina is the daughter of Snuka, as is former World Tag Team Champion Deuce, who wrestled for the company in the late 2000s.
