WWE Files To Trademark NXT 2.0 And Two In-Ring Names

WWE has filed for three new trademarks. 

On September 13, WWE submitted applications with the USPTO to trademark NXT 2.0, Bron Breakker, and Brooks Jensen.

Bron Breakker is the new name of Bronson Rechsteiner, the son of Rick Steiner, who made his NXT debut on September 14, making relatively quick work of LA Knight.

Brooks Jenson debuted as part of a new team with Josh Briggs on Tuesday night’s episode. Brooks is the son of former WWE Superstar Bull Buchanan.

The filing for both names reads as follows:

Mark For: BRON BREAKKER/BROOKS JENSEN trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports

NXT recently underwent a facelift with a new logo, updated production aspects, and more. This 2.0 version of NXT launched on September 14 and featured the wedding of InDex as well as Tommaso Ciampa winning the NXT Championship. 

The filing for NXT 2.0 reads as follows:

Mark For: NXT 2.0 trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information.
