WWE Files New Trademark On ‘SmackDown’
WWE files trademarks related to its second-longest-running weekly episodic television show in history.
On May 31, 2022, WWE submitted an application with the USPTO to trademark “SmackDown” for a wide variety of merchandising purposes.
SmackDown started as a weekly television show in 1999 and in the past two decades, it has gone from a taped network series on UPN to a live cable network series. now WWE Friday Night SmackDown is on one of the premier networks, and all the broadcasting, FOX.
