WWE Edits “Roman Sucks” Chants Out Of YouTube Video

Welcome to another installment of

OFF-TRACK with A-TRAIN

where I look at the off-color stories in wrestling

in this episode

THEY DONE DID IT AGAIN

Last night on Raw, the Undertaker and Roman Reigns had a memorable staredown, leading to what is almost certain to be a match at Wrestlemania, and you can even take the "almost" out of the equation.

They're GOING to have a match at Wrestlemania, and if they do, it really only makes sense, unfortunately, to have Roman Reigns win that match.

So the WWE has an interest in protecting their narrative, and their narrative is that Roman Reigns is awesome and also he's totally bad-ass, and also la la la we can't hear you.

If you watched Raw Live last night, you saw that the crowd reacted to the staredown, and in particular, Roman's statement "It's my yard now" with very loud "ROMAN SUCKS" chants.

But you wouldn't know it from watching the heavily edited YouTube video at the top of the page.

Oh, the chants are still there, waaaaaaaayyyyyy in the background, the volume on them turned waaaaaaaaayyyyyy down, until right before the Undertaker's Chokeslam on Reigns.

Compare the audio to that in the video in the link below, taken directly from the USA network broadcast and still available on WWE's Twitter account:

Hmm.

Curiouser and curiouser.

It's almost as if the WWE is refusing to listen to very vocal elements of their audience, and is instead trying to bend reality to its will.

But I'm sure that's not what it is.
