WWE Confirms Cora Jade Is Sidelined With Torn ACL, May Miss Up To A Year

WWE confirms Cora Jade’s injury and has officially introduced the former Madi Wrenkowski onto WWE television. 

Cora Jade suffered an injury at the NXT live event in Dade City, Florida on January 12. WWE would go on to confirm on January 16 that Jade suffered a torn ACL. She is slated to miss up to a year of in-ring action.

Jade posted on Twitter, showing a crutch and brace on her knee. The caption reads, “It is only after we’ve lost everything that we are free to do anything.”

Jade suffered the injury wrestling current NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria but on TV it was stated that Jade wrestled and lost to someone else. 

Prior to the Number One Contender’s Battle Royal on the January 16 episode of WWE NXT, WWE stated that Jade lost to newcomer Wren Sinclair and as a result of the victory, Sinclair was given Jade’s spot in the NXT Women’s Battle Royal. She made it to the final five in the Battle Royal before she was eliminated by Kiana James.
