Austin Theory remains the WWE United States Champion after getting past Bobby Lashley and Bronson Reed at WWE Backlash.
The finish saw Reed miss a moonsault on Theory, Lashley catch Reed with a spear, and Theory dump Lashley out of the ring so he could pin Reed.

With this victory, Theory has made seven successful title defenses. He won the title at WWE Survivor Series in a triple threat match by defeating Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins.
