WWE Announces Special Luke Harper Tribute Episode Of The New Day: Feel The Power Podcast

The New Day is continuing to honor the memory of their friend, Brodie Lee (formerly Luke Harper in WWE).

On December 26, the wrestling world was devastated by the news of Brodie Lee’s passing. The AEW Superstar was only 41 years old. Lee’s wife, Amanda, shared on social media that it was a result of a hard-fought battle with a non-COVID-related lung illness. Fightful learned that much of the roster knew that Brodie had been dealing with a serious medical issue for several weeks, but kept it quiet out of respect to the family.

The December 30th episode of AEW Dynamite served as a tribute episode to The Dark Order’s Exalted One.

WWE Superstars have also been mourning the loss of their longtime colleague, releasing videos, sharing stories online, and generally promoting anything that shines a light on his legacy.

New Day members Big E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston have been particularly vocal in the weeks since, and according to a new press release from WWE, the January 11, 2021, episode of their Feel the Power podcast will be dedicated to and focus entirely on Luke Harper.

WWE issued the following statement on their website:

The tragic passing of Jon “Luke Harper” Huber on Dec. 26 shook the WWE Universe and the wrestling world to its core, leading to an outpouring of stories, memories and tributes celebrating the former Intercontinental Champion as a competitor, as a cherished friend and as family.

On tomorrow’s special episode of The New Day’s podcast, The New Day: Feel the Power, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E invite special guests Cesaro, Tyler Breeze and Erick Rowan – Huber’s longtime tag team partner – for an in-depth conversation about their friend, whose legacy in the ring, in the locker room and beyond will live forever.

Watch the full episode on the free version of WWE Network at 10 a.m. ET. Listen and subscribe to The New Day: Feel the Power on Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts.
