WWE Announces Madison Square Garden Show On 9/10 Will Be Cross-Branded ‘Super SmackDown’ Event
WWE heads home to The Garden with the entire roster intact.
It’s a family reunion at Madison Square Garden as WWE has announced the Friday Night SmackDown on September 10 from Madison Square Garden will now be a cross-branded show featuring superstars from both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.
WWE has often considered Madison Square Garden to be their home base dating all the way back to a time well before the Vince McMahon we all know today was the promoter of the WWF.
Now, for the first time since the global pandemic, WWE will be heading back to Madison Square Garden on Friday, September 10, 2021, and while the show was originally announced to be only a SmackDown event, that evening SmackDown will host the Superstars of Monday Night Raw as well.
Calling the event “Super SmackDown,” the Friday night show will actually be the first of 3 SuperShows to take place that weekend. WWE will be hosting non-televised events in Albany, New York, and Washington DC that weekend as well.
