WWE Announces That Cody Rhodes Will Be Unable To Compete For Nine Months
Cody Rhodes has a long recovery ahead of him.
On May 30, Rhodes sustained a partially torn pectoral tendon during a brawl with Seth Rollins on WWE Raw. Cody would then tear the tendon off the bone while weight training during the week ahead of WWE Hell in a Cell.
Despite the torn pectoral tendon, Cody still competed at WWE Hell in a Cell, defeating Rollins inside Hell in a Cell. Rhodes would appear on Monday’s WWE Raw to announce he would be undergoing surgery, only to be attacked by Rollins again.
Yesterday, Brandi Rhodes took to social media to announce that Cody underwent successful surgery on his torn pectoral tendon. WWE confirmed as much during the June 10 episode of SmackDown and added that he will be out of action for nine months.
