WWE And Panini Reach Settlement, Ask Court To Dismiss Lawsuit With Prejudice

The lawsuit between WWE and Panini is apparently over.
As previously reported on November 15, WWE and Panini exchanged settlement proposals and reached an agreement in principle.
Per Paul Lesko, the two sides informed the court on November 21 that they settled their issues. WWE and Panini asked the court to dismiss the action with prejudice. Lesko shared a court document that showed WWE and Panini agreed that all claims and causes of action asserted by Panini against WWE are dismissed with prejudice. The document also stated that each party shall bear its own costs, expenses, and attorneys’ fees.

In the case, Panini allegedly told WWE in 2022 that they were planning to merge with Fanatics. That deal fell apart in the spring of 2023, and over 35 employees subsequently resigned from Panini. Many of these employees allegedly worked on WWE-related products.
Additionally, WWE also alleged that Panini failed to provide purchase orders and respond to routine requests, and they also ran behind on inventory. WWE previously alleged that Panini failed to uphold their end of the contract by failing to create digital trading cards or training card games. WWE terminated the deal on August 25, 2023.
