NXT Officially Part Of WWE Survivor Series

NXT talent to appear at Survivor Series?

In a promo for WWE Network during Crown Jewel, WWE hyped the upcoming Survivor Series event. During the video, Michael Cole stated, “For the first time ever in head-to-head competition, Raw, SmackDown…” the advertisement then cut to shots of Johnny Gargano and Velveteen Dream as fans chanted “NXT” before the Survivor Series logo flashed.

PWInsider reports there has been a pitch to bring War Games to a WWE pay-per-view and “word making the rounds” is that the match could take place at Survivor Series.

WWE officially confirmed NXT will be part of Survivor Series later during Crown Jewel. Survivor Series is typically billed as “the one time a year Raw and SmackDown go head-to-head.” This year is being advertised as Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT.

Survivor Series is scheduled for Nov. 24 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

NXT will hold its annual TakeOver: WarGames event the night before at the same arena. NXT General Manager William Regal made a big announcement pertaining to this year’s TakeOver, revealing that the first-ever Women’s War Games bout will take place at the event.
