Women’s Tag Team Match Added To WWE Elimination Chamber 2022
Another match has been made official for WWE Elimination Chamber 2022.
Last Friday night on SmackDown after announcing that she would be challenging Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, Ronda Rousey was forced to defend herself against Sonya Deville after the WWE Official tried to attack her. Flair left the ring unscathed while Deville was treated to an armbar.
On February 11, Deville opened SmackDown and said that she petitioned WWE Upper Management to fine and suspend Rousey for her actions. Adam Pearce, however, informed her that Mr. McMahon denied her request. Not only that, but he learned about her treatment of Naomi and said that Sonya’s job would be in jeopardy if she interfered in this evening’s Women’s Championship match.
Charlotte and Naomi main evented SmackDown and had a hard-fought battle that saw Naomi come close to capturing the title on several occasions. Unfortunately for her, Flair would eventually hit Natural Selection for the pin and win.
After the bell, Naomi was confronted by Sonya Deville, who she proceeded to punch in the face. Charlotte came to Sonya’s aid, but this brought out Ronda Rousey who chased them away. WWE made it official after SmackDown went off the air that Ronda and Naomi will team up next Saturday at Elimination Chamber to face Deville and Flair.
