WWE continues to build the card for the February 3 episode of WWE SmackDown.
WWE continues to build the card for the February 3 episode of WWE SmackDown.
The company has announced that Zelina Vega, Natalya, Shayna Baszler, and Shotzi will clash in a Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match. The winner of the bout will advance to WWE Elimination Chamber, where they will compete in an Elimination Chamber Match that will determine Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair’s opponent at WrestleMania 39.
WWE official Adam Pearce announced the Elimination Chamber match on the January 30 episode of WWE Raw after Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley chose SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair as her opponent at WrestleMania. Asuka, Liv Morgan, Nikki Cross, and Raquel Rodriguez have already qualified, as they were the other finalists in the Women’s Royal Rumble. Another qualifying match will be held on the February 6 episode of WWE Raw.
Plus, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been confirmed for SmackDown on Friday. This will be his first appearance since the Royal Rumble premium live event on January 28. There, Cody Rhodes won the Men’s Royal Rumble match, and WWE subsequently confirmed that he will challenge Reigns for the gold at WrestleMania 39. In the main event, Reigns defeated Kevin Owens to retain the titles. After the match, Sami Zayn turned on The Bloodline by hitting Reigns with a chair, and the faction laid him out with a beatdown.
From WWE:
In the wake of the catastrophic events at Royal Rumble in which an overwhelmed Sami Zayn hit Roman Reigns with a steel chair and The Bloodline, minus a conflicted Jey Uso, launched a major retaliatory beatdown on The Honorary Uce, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is set to return to SmackDown.
How will The Head of the Table react to the unprecedented turmoil that has rocked The Bloodline? Will Reigns have any response to Cody Rhodes after the Royal Rumble winner addressed their WrestleMania title showdown? Will The Island of Relevancy ever be the same? Don’t miss all the action of SmackDown this Friday at 8/7 C on FOX.
