Witness Recounts Paige-Alberto Altercation At Orlando Airport
A witness to the altercation between Paige and Alberto El Patron at the Orlando airport says that Alberto "reeked" of alcohol and refuted Paige's account of the incident.
In an exclusive interview with Heavy.com, the witness — whose name was not used, but was identified as a wrestling "superfan" living in Tampa, FL — recounted an argument between Paige and Alberto on the airport train system, during which Paige called Alberto "abusive" and said he had been doing cocaine for two days straight.
The witness also rebuffed Paige's account of the incident, which she posted on Twitter, telling Heavy, "None of that happened."
The witness said she went to the airport to drop off her mother-in-law, when she spotted Paige on the phone with tears in her eyes as she paced outside a restaurant near a terminal entrance. Paige walked back into the restaurant, then came storming out shortly thereafter, after which Alberto — who the witness described as being "soaked" in liquid — pursued her onto the airport tram.
A loud argument ensued, which the witness recounted as follows:
“He was soaked and she was saying, ‘You’re such an abusive husband, I hate you. You’ve ruined my life, you’ve ruined my career.' "
Alberto proceeded to say that Paige was the one in possession of cocaine, with the witness recalling El Patron saying, “Check her bag, she’s got all the coke in it, it’s all hers."
Video and audio obtained by the witness note Alberto saying, "Let’s do it, get the cops" to which Paige responds with "Just stay out of my life, leave me the f–k alone, I’m trying to get away from you."
“From what I gather, he said something like, ‘I hope your f—ing uncle dies tomorrow and grabs her wrist because he was mad she was on the phone for so long,” the witness told Heavy. “They wanted to leave, so he got mad and grabbed her wrist. She got upset and threw water on him and she ran out.”
Paige's uncle is in the hospital, as she Tweeted out mere hours after the incident occurred:
The witness said that, shortly thereafter, an airport security guard with a K-9 stopped Alberto because of the strong smell of alcohol.
Audio of the incident also was released by TMZ. As we reported yesterday, the incident forced Alberto to cancel a booking at an independent show on July 9 in Texas.
Alberto El Patron unified the GFW and Impact titles in the main event of the Slammiversary pay-per-view on July 2.
