William Regal Announces Interim NXT Cruiserweight Title Tournament
WWE is getting into the Interim Title business.
NXT General Manager William Regal appeared on Wednesday’s WWE’s The Bump and announced that, due to Jordan Devlin being unable to defend the NXT Cruiserweight Title as he is stuck overseas, NXT will hold a tournament to crown an Interim Cruiserweight Champion.
Details as far as the number and names of participants were not revealed. Regal said he will provide more information on the tournament in the coming days.

Regal was also asked about the NXT Tag Team Titles, which are currently held by Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne. Dunne is currently stuck overseas as well due to the coronavirus pandemic. Regal said he would have some decisions to make regarding the NXT Tag Team Titles, but didn’t provide further information.
